Hey bros,
I do know that drinking while on gear is really bad. last Weekend i drank 3 days consectively (thursday , saturday and sunday) but during those days i maintained proper diet and training. yesturday night i drank again like 5 beers. i just want to ask if you maintain your diet and training and you eat after every drinking session will you lose gains or what not ? how does alcohol REALLY effect you?
help is appreciated. ill be quiting alcohol till im done my cycle from now on. Im on 25 mg of dbol ed and tri test
 
yes it can affect gains. 1 or 2 beers here or there is not going to kill gains, but drinking 2-3 nights consecutively and getting bombed is a bad bad idea.

Sound like you have a drinking problem bro!

Besides the obvious of alcohol being a depressive, bad carbs, bad calories, it dehydrates the body, thins the blood, makes recovery harder and is plain not good for you in large amounts.

I keep my drinking and partying to once a week and only when the next day is a day off from the gym... priorities ;)
 
Don't mix AAS and alcohol. When you are on, you should be focused on training to make the most of your cycle and drinking puts additional stress on your liver. If you are going to have a few once and a while, make sure to drink lots of water and milk thistle. I just don't see the point of drinking during a cycle at all. You do have other options if you want to take the edge off a crazy week or unwind with friends so skip the booze.

I think it will take its toll eventually. Many reasons. fatigue,,laziness,,excess calories,,, Just a bad idea while on cycle.

not necessarily the carbs, but the alcohol, which has 7 cals/ gram. a shot is about 90 cals. beer about 100-120.
just 5 beers and a couple shots and your over 700 cals!
I think a beer would have me pretty buzzed right now, lol

Not to mention the necessary post drinking pizza from a greasy late night pizza joint.

I havn't gotten drunk in like 2 months, I can't do the getting hammered eveyr weekend like I did in college, dont feel the best the next day, and then yuor day is wasted. If it's a training day, you can cross that day off as waste.

Haha.. yea.
Although last weekend I got wasted, had like 3 hours sleep at most, got up and went for a hike up a mountain here. My muscles were sore and I was dehydrated, thought there was no way i'd make it.
 
Personal take (and I'm liable to be flamed for this):

Alcohol isn't THAT bad on you with injection type steroids. It's clearly bad carbs and is a dietary faux pas, but I don't believe it carries an enormous health risk with most injection types.


HOWEVER, if you're taking steroid pills (17aa's) it can be quite dangerous. 17aa steroids tie up the liver pretty heavily on their own and drinking does too. Doing them both together puts ENORMOUS strain on your liver and sometimes it simply can't keep up on purging the toxins from your body. Then you have a problem.

I drank a couple of days in a row while taking winstrol and I got a distinct yellow coloration to my skin (jaundice, the first sign of liver failure/shutdown). I promptly quit both the pills and the alcohol and I recovered.... but if I continued down that road it would clearly lead to liver damage and hospitalization.

I think 17aa's are bad shit personally..... I get a a large amount of problems with those pills that I don't get with injection type steroids...
 
alchohol dehydrates you and inhibits protein synthesis. Guys who juice and get hammered multiple days a week are retards. If nothing other than the fact that juice plus alot of alchohol is really abusing your body. Most people dont care. Why? NOT ALL OF THEM....but most guys in their early 20's have their heads shoved way up their ass. That goes for the novelty "summer juicers" of any age as well.

agreed. i've heard alcohol lowers test levels in the body too.
running gear and pounding beers 3 days straight does not seem like the best idea.

If you have the genetics to the be one of the best it really won't do shit. I am friends with someone who competes and is 250 at 5'8'' and boozes every weekend even when he was dieting for a show. Then again hes probably 1% of the population (and irish). lol
