ALA @ 1-2g/day while cycling?

Hey all, here's my question. I'll be running a cycle starting this week and I'm wondering how to eat. Currently the stats are 5'10", 193 lbs. @ 15%. My goal is to gain as much LBM as possible while reducing my BF. Now, I'm wondering if I have to worry about going into ketosis while taking a moderately low amount of carbs. I don't want to hinder my muscle growth by being in ketosis; I do want to grow a little. I'm an endomorph so here's ROUGHLY how I'll do this,,,,,,,kindly help me out, thanks.

Fat - 40g Carbs -- 150g Protein -- 350-400g

Carbs will come from 80g spread twice PW with whey protein. I will be eating every 2-3 hours and having roughly 20ish grams of protein between meals. Fat, well, we'll see.
 
if you're worried about ketosis, concentrate on complex carbs that get digested slowly so that a small amount of consistent insulin will be released for a period of time throughout your day keeping you out of ketosis..
 
That's it eh? I'll be taking about 30-40 g. complex carbs in early afternoon, and another 30-40 g 3 hours after my workout. I'll take 40g simple sugars mixed with protein twice PW prior to eating.
 
complex carbs take 2-3 hours to digest..therefore a 2-3 hour slow release of insulin..enough to keep you out of ketosis..

and i assume your gonna eat every 2-3 hours, so problem solved :)

Hey Pauly, I know the thread is dead, but wanted to add one thing. I agree with Kak and what you have layed out all the way. I am cutting right now and those numbers are very close to what I am doing. My ALA is around 1.5g a day.

My question is, what is your post workout carbs intake? It is crucial when you are cutting and low carbing to get your glycogen levels up real fast post workout. I am jamming 50 grams or zero carb isopure, mixed with 75grams of dextrose and 600mg of ALA. That is my post workout meal. Then an hour later the regular 2-3 hour feedings begin, very simular to what you are doing.

Anyway, just a thought as I was curious as to what you are doing.
 
I'm taking 40 g of dextrose with 46g protein TWICE after my workout,,,,,,,,,ince right after then again an hour later.
