Fk yes dude. So much more lethal than any other piece of equipment. Even fast movers miss most of the time, apaches just rape

guy who runs the local gunshop here was either in the marines or army I can't remember...but he was in Kosovo. Basically if you have circa 80's soviet weaponry you can chase those apache's out of the sky. Had to ground the whole fleet. It's hard to beleive that claim when you see a video like that. Fucking pwning.
 
That video was incredible. I could watch it all day.

Why don't we have 24 hour channels on the TV running footage like that?
 
I work on apaches everyday. I also work on UH-60's, OH-58's, and CH-47's also. Each one is bad ass in its own right.

Apaches are war machines, can I get one? But these homies obviously didn't have any type of air defense or have ANY clue they were even there until they started firing (and had no chance after).

Any basic anti air will have radar, etc. and pwn them. But, they obviously have their purpose in a low tech fight.
 
I was told they like to fly at night for that reason. If they fly during the day they are flying fast, 150mph+, and no chance of air defense. If they hover close to the ground and someone puts an AK-47 on em they're coming down, which is kind of surreal but that's what happened in Kosovo. COncentrated small arms fire and russian made shoulder fire was grounding the whole fleet. If an armored carrier see's one on thermal and opens on em with it's own 30mm it's over.
 
Its hard to keep Apaches in the air for a boatload of reasons.Mainly avionics issues.I cant see how small arms fire can bring em down when they barely fly. lol. Big ass paper weights.Its because its basically a cheap design.when they put the aircraft together they used the cheapest parts possible. It could actually be alot better platform. It is a bad ass aircraft when they fly. they just came out with the brand new version of the apache and its looking pretty bad ass.
 
what sort of munition was that does anyone know?
some sort of explosive bullet round?
that pilot was a savage hunter, badass watching him mop up no mercy
 
Fucking Apaches are good for what you just seen. Anything beyond that and I gotta go retrieve the fucking crew or whats left of it. Not in love with these damn high tech helicopters, mother fuckers get good soilders killed in real combat situations fo sho. But I know they look cool.

Go look at the video of the sniper in Afghan with the 50 cal shooting bish ngrs off the side of the mountain. A fucking hit with a 50 cal is a lotta got damn mess. Ive seen four or five bishes hunkered down and hit with a burst of 50 cal fire and it literally looked like chunky human soup fucking parts blown ecerywhere torsos cut into 5 or 6 pieces literally all blown together. You couldnt dream of how fucked up it looks unless youce seen it. Fucking nasty

yup, I was a 31 and used the full auto .50 and I will tell you the damage I could do with that bitch was pretty badass, but didn't come close to what those barretts do at long range with the same calibre. Big difference in hydrostatic pressure at nearly a mile.

nothing is as fun as taking buildings down on ragheads with a MK-19 though, that mofo is the best mounted weapon ever created.
 
Used the turret mounted 50 plenty of time, you can dam near take down the side of a stone building, and it dose leave a nasty mess in its path. As for the first video I was never impressed with aviation. Get their ass's down on the playing field with the grunts and it's a whole new world

When that Barrett starts barking from long range it opens the door to walk right in and do your job. My weaponry was way more up close and personal but I always felt good knowing that Beast was sitting over my shoulder when we moved on a target.
I've seen the enemy killed by debris frags from one. Awesome weapon no doubt. My ole man carried a fucking shot gun in NAM use to swear by that fucking thing. Said with a lil Corp ingenuity a fucking pump spiting double 0 was a got damn beast in close quarters. Also a NATO no no

0.5 cal = 0.5 inches
0.5 inches x 25.4 mm/inch = 12.7 mm

(30-12.7) / 12.7 = 136% increase in size

no i had no idea cause i ain't never seen one. Sorry to disrupt your narrative but i understand the difference between caliber and mm. Otherwise, as you suggested, I would ahve thought that 50 cal must be > 30mm. Cause 50 is higher than 30 right? lmao

most likely explosive rounds cause it didn't look like the pilot had to be terribly accurate for the guys to go down. He just puts the round within 10 ft and it's a done deal.
