Adrenal fatigue & remedies

Thanks Power and Z.

So we have established that taking exo cortisol is not the way to go. Now, is it advisable to take an adrenal cortex? If they are processed so that all hormones are taken out surely it can only be beneficial?

My personal opinion is that your on the verge of analysis paralysis. I think you need to step back, try one little thing at a time and see what happens. We just talked about paleo diet for example a few days ago and your already looking at throwing everything at your problem but the kitchen sink. Hell, just the stress I see in your posts about getting to the bottom of this may be causing problems for you, if you like this in all other aspects of life no wonder your a wreck.

I think you just need to slow down and have some patience, work on one little thing at a time. If you think its a cortisol condition I would undergo specific testing for that and not try and self medicate.

yeah zyg is right this is serious bro, u need a doc to medicate you on this , meanwhile the natural way i think it can help u other than the diet already proposed by Zyg is exercising , yeah keep trying to increase your training volume, remember we talked about starting with a few compound sets and a little cardio (HIIT) 2 or 3 days at the beginning start from here and keep pushing urself set by set and minute by minute for cardio until u reach a full training regimen that covers most of the week (5-6 days) , a daily workout for 30 min (short and intense) early in the morning is the healthiest thing a man can do to improve his well being of course backed up by a clean healthy diet, try 3 times a week 15 min weight lifting (one compound 2-4 sets) then 15 min cardio (bike HIIT) and every couple of weeks add a day until u feel working out everyday is pleasurable.

i personally can't live my day if i don't feel the pump and the calm after my daily session.

However and not meaning to hijack...if he does indeed have adrenal fatigue...hit or heavy lifting is not the way to go....as much as it would kill any of you and him, and it has "killed me" in the sense....trust me if you only knew me in the "real world" stopping training messes me up....but if you have AD you have to back off training....and do more mind-body stuff......heavy intense training will sap your hormones and immune system if they are already tapped out....Ill need to re-read the entire thread but if he suspects and indeed does have any scale of AD, he needs to chill out on his training...rest, nap, good quality sleep, heavy on the anti oxidants and supplements, protein, BCAAs, EFAs, walking, meditating, chilling out, yoga, tai chi, those things would be better long term....

I gotta go but just throwing that out there....hard training is out if you have AD...it will make things worse even if your juicing

Original diagnosis from Doc (as seen in 1st ever post) was for AF, alongside low T.

Have mentioned in other posts that I can only manage a maximum of two weeks HIT or hard workouts before the body gives out and have to rest for at least a further 4 weeks before feeling better.

I must admit from my other posts that I can understand that Zyg is "careful" that I am going to self medicate. Luckily for me Cortisone is one thing that I cannot get my hands on without a script, plus the Doc I am working with has avoided this therpay so far, so I do not think that it is going to happen. I actually thank Zyg and Xman for flaming me about the Cortisone, 'cause it means that they have my best interests at heart, which is exactly what I need to protect from unscrupulous individuals out there....and from myself :)

I am seriously considering the adrenal cortex in about a months time though.

At the moment I want to concentrate on one thing at a time, and will then move on to other items.

My planning is such:

1) 30 days to improve bf% (i.e. get into a better routine)
2) Then look at the AF issue as per above plan for at least 30 days(minus the cortisone therapy it's safe to say)
3) relook at bf% for another 30 days (check progress and tweak)
4) relook at AF and tweak for another 30 days
5) and so on until BF% is in the teens and the AF is better....
6) After that (about 6 months maybe?) look into first blast to get back muscle mass lost in diet....

I think I may cause confusion with all the questions that I ask, but it is all just for preparation to fit into my planning....0

Thanks again for the help and for thinking about my health where I may not be.

Cheers
H

cortisone or cortisol? Two very different things.

cortisol is converted to cortisone by the enzyme 11-beta-steroid dehydrogenase, cortisone is also an endogenous hormone.
