Addicted To Xavax And Villium

Seroquel, will get you off them. They are addictive, and my doc put me on a low dose of this drug. It knocks me out!

I would like to add that when I was trying to get off of these TAPERING IS NOT AN OPTION. Atleast with me anyway.

Once you eat 2-4mg of xanax, you will lose some memory and control and most likely go eat 5 more.
Then you wake up the next morning wondering where all your pills went.

I had to go cold-turkey. Once I ate 1 or 2, Id say what the hell I'll quit tomorrow, and eat 5 more.

Xanax and Valium are one of the hardest things to taper.

BTW, if you are drinking with these stop, as it just enhances the affects, hence making you like it more, or giving you greater addiction.

Stay strong bro.

Talk to your doc and have him put you on a weaning schedule. You shoulnt stop it by yourself cuz you could die from withdrawal. It is also a good idea to have good family support while you go through this. They shouldnt leave you for a second. If not....then ask to get into a rehab hospital/center where the nurse wont leave you for a second. Did you see the Sopranos episode where Christian went into a drug rehab center? If he can do it, anyone can...lol.

Bro, correct me if I am wrong.

I went through this for years, and I dont think you can die from a
barbituatal(pill) withdraw.

Sure it is painful, but death?

First off, xanax and valium are benzos, not barbiturates. Benzos are supposedly safer. But anyway, the withdrawal picture is basically the same....your body gets so "overstimulated" due to the removal of the drug that you can suffer a stroke, heart attack, seizure, suicidal tendency, and lots more stuff. So yes, you can die either directly or indirectly. The actual withdrawal is different for everyone and has alot to do with the amount of drug being taken and then stopped.

I knew you'd rub my face in it...LOL:p :D :p

Hey,
I was on Klonopin which is a different type of benzo for about 2 years.I used a tapering method to get off of them.It has to be a slow process if you are really fucked up but hang in there.I settled at a 2 mg dose, then started the taper from there. Each month I used a pill cutter to adjust the doseage each month....Went something like this
Month 1....2 mg
month 2....1.75 mg
month 3....1.50 mg
month 4....1.25 mg
month 5....1 mg
month 6....0.75 mg
month 7....0.5 mg
month 8....0.25 mg
month 9...completely free of addiction

Although it took a long time,it's what worked for me.You have to get on a longer acting benzo like klonopin or valium. With Xanax there is a shitload of rebound anxiety involved.

These are addicting drugs but you can get off them.It will take some patience and tweaking your tapering to your needs.Altough you might hear stories of cold turkey,I wouldnt suggest it as very bad things could happen.

It is amazing Benzo's are schedule 4 drugs and steroids are schedule 3..that blows my mind.

You could also use Remeron,Benadryl or Trazodone to help sleep while adjusting to the withdrawl.Seroquel is an anti-psychotic and although it does knock your as out there are a few more sides associated with it.

Bottom line, barbituates have no place in BB at all, so you better quit while you can, bro.
It sucks at first but you'll thank me later.

Good luck bro

They're benzos, not barbiturates. And you can't stop them cold turkey if you've been on them for a while, even as low as 1 month (at least not without having withdrawal Sx's).

Bottom line is that you have to taper off of them. Its not a matter of will power!

Taper like this.......decrease CURRENT doses by 10-20% q3-7d. In your case I would say to try q7. You may have to slpit the tabs into quarters to follow this properly, or get Rx's for a number of strengths.

That's what you have to do......Good luck man.......and don't even bother trying to stop them cold turkey, you MUST taper.

Later.
