I dont have acne- never had acne and about to start my first cycle of test e and var. should i take something during the cycle to prevent a breakout if and when it happens or wait until i get a breakout then do something about it. They do say prevention is the key> cheers guys.

ps am 21

You may or may not break out I did very badly on my back you can take some accutane or some B5 I think it is.

The acne caused by fluctuating hormone levels is from the stimulation of the sebaceous glands... causing acne... nothing external will remedy the situation. Topical OTC medications are generally ineffective.
I would venture to say that if you have had no problems with acne by the age of 21... assuming you are primarily physically mature... then the introduction of exogeneous androgens should not have much of an impact in this respect.

Accutane would work, however, it takes a bit of time to work... enough to make its use minimal for cycling steriods for small periods of time.

I do not personally see much you can do for preventive measure except reconsider the use of anabolic steroids if physical looks (ie. skin) are of the utmost importance to you.

take 10 grams a day of b5... use some type of exfoliant(either a loofah or apricot scrub)and get a good salycic acid cleaner.Neutrogena men's clearing wash works well as a salycic acid cleanser.
If you dont really get acne you should def be ok with that.

Yeah, definetely well said. The acne's coming from the inside out. You can shower and loeffe all you want. You'll either have this side effect or you won't.

I have read lotsa threads about guys tanning and applying rubbing alcohol to the acne covered areas. They say it works. Might be worth a try?

Tanning bed is the best way to keep it from getting out of hand, if it is really bad then some minocin or tetracycline ED will keep it at bay. Retin-A is also quite helpful. 5-AR inhibitors probably help a bit too. Certainly anti-e's help.I use 1000-1500 mg tetracycline a day sometimes when I am in mid-cycle and breaking out and tan on top of that ( I know tanning is contra-indictated, im dark complected). My friend uses minocin, which I have used before, it works better than tetra but tetra is cheaper for me.

Alcohol is not helpful. It will dry the skin and send a message to the sebaceuos gland to secrete more oil. Same with noxema. It helps at first then you backlash breakout worse. the object is to kill the bacteria causing the infection(acne) and limit the hormones causing the bacterial food (DHT,estrogen)

if you take arimidex for your test, make sure you take it consistently. Man, if im on test and i forget the a-dex for a few days-i get hit with a barrage of acne....

if you havent gotten it in the past - and arent prone to it - I wouldnt worry about it too much. shouldnt be an issue

what is the doseage for b5 daily? lets say for a peep with 240lbs?

depends on how prone you are, i'm using a gram now no good the best thing i have found is after working out is washing and having your gf or wife to wipe you down with oxy pads.

RADAR-------tanning helps also-but who want to tan in the wintertime!
