It does have some bad side effects but you will not no how it affects you until you try it. I would say try everyother option that you can and if nothing works then you should think about using it.

I used Accutane when I was younger. The only thing I really noticed is that I was sensitive to the sun and I was really depressed most of the time. But just cause it might make you depressed sometimes does not mean you are going to kill yourself or something. It worked really good but I would not use it unless your acne was significant and you tried every other option.

Depression is one of the side effects, birth defects are another, so don't be trying to get someone prego while on the stuff. It is a powerful drug with a lot of downfall, I'd go the correct way about it by seeing a doc first and see if he'll prescribe it to you.

i just finished a cycle of accutane three weeks ago i started with 20mg a day for two weeks 40mg a day for 6weeks then 80mg a day for 2weeks. the only side affects i got was chaped lips throghout the cycle which is more than barabile with the fast reduction of spots .i started to see the diffrence after the first week and i had bad acne on face and back within 6weeks my face had compleatly cleard up and by the end of the cycle i had a massive reduction on the acne on my back.i would advise evrayone with dad acne to give it a try.ive youve got bad acne and then clear it up your going to feel happy not depresed i no i did

my opinion on accutane is its great. dry skin is the only side effects i had. it works miracles man. all that susicde bullshit is all smoke out of someones ass man. it may be different for opthers but i think its better than any other. clindasol is a good cream but nothing worked for me. i went to a dermatoligist like 7 times and tried everything, and only accutane works. for me that is.

accutane works great. Go to the derm. 1st. I've had depression and anxiety before i took accutane then i was prescribed accutane and was on it off and on a couple years. I felt fine emotionally. If anything i felt good cause my acne was gone. Use accutane as a last resort though. If you do use it start at a low dose of 20mg a day.

my dermatologist told me that accutane manufacturers were another victim that fell prey to the greedy lawyers. The facts are simple with accutane, and this is how my derm told me: "in a sampled group of teenagers, there are 1000 kids in one group and 1000 kids in the other group. All had acne. 1 group of kids were on accutane and the other were not. The group that had more depressed teenagers were the group NOT on accutane. But, because of one or (more) kids who are TEENAGERS who are DEPRESSED naturally, killed themself, a mom decided to file a lawsuit and it went downhill from there.." He also said that the doses that they put kids on are extremely high, like 240mgs! Adult dosing is around 60-120. I was on 60 ed. for the first 2 months until I developed a rash on my fore-arms. Which tells the derm that that dose is working. But I opted to go up to 80. The last month (6 month cycle ed) was pretty hard and I had to lower it down to 40 for a few weeks cuz I was getting horrible migraines , was pretty tuff, but other than that, I was happy that I didn't break out! good stuff!

thanks i hope a der.will subscribe me with it the 1st time i do not like using anything with benzol cuz it bleachs the skin and makes it stand out more atleast on me but i hope a der.will do

when i went in i told the dr i didnt want to use any topicals and that i've used everything.. retin-A,benzaclin,doxycycline,etc... and she asked me if i used accutane and that was that.
