Will it take care of old scars too? Or do they have to be fairly fresh?

no nothing will take care of old scares. Except for dermabrasion or maybe chemical peels or laser.

I used accutane about 2.5 years ago for 4 months at 80mgED. I had BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD facial acne. It cleared it up and I was acne free for over 2 years. Then I got some acne again, and I am on my 2nd week at 80mgED accutane and it's cleared all up.

No scars.

Do you naturally have oily skin? I know I do, fuck my skin, I hate it.

I used to have very bad acne. I took accutane when I was young (14) and the acne came back in different parts of my body. I am now 21 and my acne is a lot milder (except on my back where its cystic) but still present. I have extremely oily skin. I will eventualy use some accutane but I don't feel like dealing with an initial breakout.

Recently i started taking guggulsterrones. (I also have been taking B5 for 8 months) In the past week i have had ZERO acne. I would seriously suggest trying it. Obviously its not a cure like accutane beecause if you stop taking it your acne will come back, but i have never found anythin that cure all my acne, including back acne. I have been taking 128mg in the morning of synthetic guggul sterones and 15mg at night.

I keep saying it, but no one seems to listen. 20mg accutane eod has me 100% clear with no sides except for mildly chapped lips. Even on cycle. Its that easy.

first off keloids are raised scars
the best things for old scars are from best to worst
1. laser treatments (smoothbeam, vstar laser etc)
2. mircodermobrasion
3. chemical peels
4. retin a micro
5. silcone sheets

things that suck about accutane is the first bad breakout and possibly keloid scars are the shitest 2 things

Accutane def works wonders! The b-5 didnt do a thing for me,Im currently using retin-a also for my mild scarring.

This entire thread is about useing accutane to clear acne. And for people prone to keloid formations the sides can also include bad scarring. I'm not sure where you were going with this, I believe everyone here agrees with you.
