ACCUTAIN. Need help with dosage. First time.

I have taken just about every acne medication known to man. Some work for a little bit but then dont work anymore. I think its time for me to do a LIGHT Accutain run. I was told the average dose is about 80mg ED. I was thinking to run like 40mg ED for 4 months and see how it goes. I dont have insurance now and its way 2 expensive, so my buddy hooked me up.

you want to start out at 60 mgs a day (80 if you can afford it). By your second month, you should , by now, have started to develop a rash on your forearms. This means it's working and changing your skin permanently. once you do this, if you are under 80, get it to 80mgs a day, 40 in the morning, 40 at night before you go to bed. do this for 6 months and then stop. you adult acne, for the most part will be cured. if you cycle again, and you break out moderately, just take accutane at 40mgs ed for the first week, then 20mgs e0d throughout the cycle.

i've written extensively on this subject - so do a search and you'll find about a page or so on my experiences, how accutane corrects the genetic flaws in your skin, etc..but in short, that's the jist of it..

i started a course of accutane this month under a dermatologists supervision and hes only got me starting off with 40mg day

they'll usually start you off low and then he'll look for that 'accutane rash.' if you don't get it on your forearms , then he'll bump you up until you get it. my dermatologist started me off at 60 and i got the rash within a month and a half. i remember i was freaking out about it and he said, "oh don't worry about that..it's the rash..it's normal.." i actually asked to go to 80 just to make sure my acne didn't come back..hehe.

I am doing about 30 mg ed and it is working for me.

80 mgs/day will knock any acne the fuck out! I just finished a 4 month treatment and I was shocked at how well it worked. Nothing got rid of the acne on my shoulders and back except accutane.

I am 5 days into using 25mg ed. I don't have sever acne but annoying breakouts around my mouth, chest, and back. I am hoping that a low dose will eventually kill the acne....

funnily enough this caught my eye because after 2 years of being acne free thanks to accutane I'm very slowly starting to break out again. My doc is wanker when it comes to accutane so I may need to buy it from 'another' source. I've been told that your 2nd course should kill acne for good, is this true?

watch your liver and cholesterol with accutane, especially if you're taking orals in conjuction.

80 mg is too much. Stay with a dosage of 40 mg, watch your liver and cholesterol. You have to achieve 120 mg per kilo to be cured. Stay way from orals steroids.

If your acne is mild then 40mg/Day to start off with is more then enough. I suggest runing 40mg/Day for 2 months then 60mg/Day for another 2 months. At the end of the 4 months you should be totally clear.

Mustang is 100% right on.

I was up to 80mg a day and cholesterol was FFUUUCCKKEED.

40mg cleared up the chest and shoulders just fine. did 60 my last 3 weeks.
