Accountant HELL

I fed-ex all my records, etc to the accountant yeterday, I call today to check if they had been received.

So GET THIS!

She says to me - oh, I'm not taking on any more clients I refused the package.

WAH???

I tell her *Hello* you've been doing my taxes for three years.

It doesn't matter - I AM TOO BUSY AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I WILL FINSIH.

But, I plead - your assitant Fred told me to send them just yesterday - he gave me the address.

Well, it doesn't matter she tells me I have already refused the package from Fed-ex.

Note: I called Fed-ex it was signed and received by her and no package was returned.

I am stunned. What can I possibly do or say???

Would it not be HUMAN to call and tell me you are cutting back?
At the very least call me and tell me I'M SORRY I have taken on too much work.

OH GOD!

I am crazed.

People really disguist me sometimes.

So uh, anyone have or know a good accountant in NY?

:bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

So ... your acct still has your papers? I'd call her and find out how she returned them if FedEx sez she signed for them.

Can you do your taxes yourself with TaxCut or something? I've used that for years and it works great. - taxes done in about 45 minutes and refund in 3 weeks via electronic filing...

Otherwise, let's all cram in to my truck and go kick some accountant ass....

Thanks for listening (reading) my venting... and thanks for the replies.

I'm trying find where my fed-ex package really is - sigh.

DOT - want a client?

Trance - "snarky" - ouuuuuuuu that will have to next week's word of the week.

Rockafella - makes no sense right?

Big - You are always there for me - thanks. :)

TN MuscleBear - OMG! I would be scared to try on my own. (what can I say..)

MustAdministerSeroidS - thanks for the thought. :)

I hope everything works out for the better for you! :)

And on a different note.... if it really starts to piss you off you can always give the address to some of the bigger guys here on elite and I don't think that they would mind taking a road trip to scare the piss out of her!(no beating involved because it being a girl) hehehehe

Cheer up... everything will work out.. I have faith that it will.

Velvett...I hope you didn't send the originals to your accountant. Always send copies and keep the originals in your records.

Velvett, Velvett, dear sweet Velvett....

It's not scary with the program TaxCut...it walks you through it with a series of interview screens...the same questions that they ask you at H&R Block (I think those nimrods at H & R actually use the same fucking program.....) It's not scary at all - really easy actually. When you're done you have the option to file electronically or it will print out your forms - looks like you got the actual forms and typed in your responses - and you sign it and send it in.

It explains everything and asks about everything. REALLY easy and idiot-proof (hey, I can do it!).

I don't work for them or anything...I just am a true believer.

Send em to me.

I'll do your taxes and then you can pay me with dinner, a back rub, and some velvette cake. :)

I got skillz yo!

Side note: I spoke to Fred the assistant - and HE was a flip as she was! He said, "What do you want me to tell you?"

I can't repeat what I said.

You're not claiming a deduction for that Gravity Swing and Sybian are you? Because those are just not depreciable!

velvett....you don't need an accountant for that. As someone already mentioned, get yourself a copy of TurboTax or a program like that. It walks you through an entire interview and is really dummy proof, excuse the expression. Unless you have a really complicated return, there's not reason to give your hard earned money to someone else when you can do it yourself.

If you really don't feel comfortable with it, you can send the information to me and i'll do it for you and send it back. No charge.

:eyes:

Really?

*faint*

I can change the oil in my car - but meantion taxes to me and I get queasy.

I'm sending you some Salt Peter. Take it immediately.

Shut up!!

Leave me alone.

I'm still thinking about Velvett on a monkey board, slithering form under the car with a smudge of oil on her cheek and a torque wrench hanging from her Daisy Duke overalls.....mmmmm...yum, yum.

Damn, what kind of POS accountant is that? Get yourself a new one - seriously. Judging by what you've said so far, this seems like one of those stupid "volume" accountants who don't care whose taxes they do just as long as they do enough to get a nice paycheck. No personal relationship there whatsoever.

My dad used to do his taxes (and did mine last year) with this guy for 15-20 years. Sometimes at his house... sometimes at our house... sometimes at his office. That's the kind of client relationship you need to have with someone as important as your accountant. I wouldn't trust anyone to do my taxes if I couldn't sit down with him. Fed-ex your shit over and I'll get back to you? Hell no.

Get a new accountant. And make sure it's a guy this time. =) =) =)

I am an excellent accountant in NY.

Velvett, be forewarned. DOT will most likely rub his miniscule genitalia with your return. Claims it has something to do with cleansing the bad spirits.

From what, I don't know....
