Good stuff, make sure you do it the right way.... chill it in the fridge, but don't worry that it turns cloudy, its called a louche... when you decide to make a drink... measure out about 1.5 oz of it (traditional shot), then put the shot in the glass, next step is to put a French Sugar Cube (or a sugar cube that will melt/dissolve under running water easily. I have found that most American Sugar is hard to get to do this) on the Slotted Spoon, then pour chilled water over it untill desired amount of water... now mix, and your drink goes from a Green colour to a Milky White color that looks like you are drinking milk.
You can always tell good absinthe if it turns White... some of it is colored Green, some more brownish, and some Red, but it always turns an opaque milkish color.
Also you might not be able to stomach the taste unless you add a little lime juice to it... I personally like to add Lime juice and alittle bit of 7up to mine.... if its around 70% like alot of it is, 3 drinks is all you need.
Its a different buzz, and I have never got hungover off it... it definitely makes things more lucid as well
Oscar Wilde said, “After the first glass you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally you see things as they really are, and that’s the most horrible thing in the world.”
That pretty much sums up the Absinthe Experience
