hi girls,
what is the best Abs Machine, I see a lot of them in commercials?
What is the best Abs Exercise for the upper and lower Abs?
In order to tone Abs, Should I fewer set with many crunches or more sets...

The only way to have abs is through DIET....Voodoo hit it right on! You can do thousands of crunches and use all the equipment you want and still not have abs......its all in diet...genetics play a role too.
 
A few points:

- usually the problem with abs for most people is the layer on top: fat. the most effective way to lose it, like it was said before: DIET.

- you can't work single parts of a muscle (for the most part), there are no upper, lower, middle abs, etc. they were made up

- the only two ways to work the abs is spinal flexion (crunch) and exercises that use abs for core stability aka deadlifts, squats

- commercials are bullshit

bottom line: 1-3 sets of crunches or crunches on a medicine ball (10-25 reps) a couple times a week would be fine and the wonderful ladies here :p will help you out on the diet thing.
 
If you have seen my recent picture showing my abs, that was all diet, I rarely ever work my abs, maybe once a month, although I do go heavy on all exercises, so they do get a workout there, but mine, mine was all diet :)
