Abs on cycle

Just curious if there is any difference to working out abs in cycle compared to off?? Obviously I'm aware abs are mainly due to proper diet. But with that Incheck just wondering if people have had any experience working them out in different ways with better results and If they respond different to certain reps/volume on cycle to off

Appreciate any tips or personal experiences

it obviously depends on so many different aspects... the first when it comes to being on cycle is, what are you running for your cycle... obviously certain things are going to provide more cut than others... cardio and diet is going to provide you with abs... when you retain less water you will have a much easier time as well... i noticed that on my helladrol cycle, when i incorporated forma stanzol that i got even more shred... it all depends on how you eat and train though...

I would do my abs the same as i would on cycle... it whats your body responds to best..
also.. diet and cardio have a massive say and what youll see down there!:)

I pay more attention to my abb workouts when on. I want big, deep abbs so when I'm on I really make the most of it and thrash them.

That said, I do sometimes neglect them when I'm off cycle.

you should work them hard on or off. Diet plays the main factor in a 6 pack. Everyone has abs but theres usually fat covering them. Thats were diet comes in.

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using EliteFitness

and you gotta blast them i do 2 sets of ab work a wk consisting of a total of 300 reps, inclines, flat, leg raises, crunches, i also use an ab wheel on carpet (shag) It really puts a burn on them.

i love ghd sit ups and toe to bars for abs.. that and just heavy squats, cleans, deads etc..

no kidding! that's pretty diesel bro... may have to try it.... probably won't be able to breath the next day due to soreness

Thanks for the replies. I work them about 4 times a week at about 200 reps.

I think my question was more based on if I should switch it from heavy weight low reps or lower weight high reps for any type of weighted abdominal workouts ?

I personally workout with the same intensity on or off...

you need a flat stomach first i'm sure you know. and if you want to keep them hard and big then work them out. when you do box squats and even pullups you work them out.. a lot of compound lifts work out different muscles then you would imagine, but it always is a good re-inforcement to isolate them

I havent trained abs since i started training, and thats 4years of none abb traning.. After newyears eve i said that i wanted a six pack for the first time. So ive begun to train them, i do following exercises now:
incline weighted crunches with 3x10 with 20kg on chest
Side bends 3x10 = 30kg
and a random ab exercise, i do this 2-3times a week

I crunch 200 lbs for mine

My abs are fucking killing me as we speak lol. I do hanging leg raises till it feels like ive been cut in two. Hurts so good. . . :D

Hanging leg raises are killer and will leave you wounded!
I do them hanging on a neutral grip, no back rest, strait legs, if you do them like this instead of in that "machine rack thingy" it forces you to keep yourself from swinging and kicks the intensity up a notch.

Just as everyone is telling you, whether on or off cycle you should be busting your A$$ on them... That being said, you can do 1,000,000 crunches a day but it won't matter if you don't have a good diet and you don't incorporate some cardio... y6ou have to have some leaness there for them to truly show...,
