Abortion-do women have the right to kill?

What the hell - what gives anyone here the right to not allow a woman to kill her unborn foetus? Bloody sitting behind your monitors all high and mighty making moral decisions about other people's choices

LOL @ Delinquent's post aswell. Outstanding.

If you're a man and you don't wear a condom every single time you sex - think before you answer this question.

I personally agree with Nordstrom and I as I've always said the focus should be on who's using and not using one or two forms of birth control - not the legal and moral issues of abortion.
Your inference indirectly assumes women to be irresponsible victims. If a woman consents to sex without sufficient protection, she is just as responsible as her partner. If you had sex without protection, and got pregnant, would you blame the man more than yourself? Would that mean you were unwilling to accept the potential consequences of your actions?

Either women are irresponsible and lack rights regarding their zygotes/fetuses/babies, OR women are responsible and have rights regarding their zygotes/fetuses/babies. This is one reason I am pro-abortion. I will not blame myself more than any girl I unintentionally impregnate. It would be her choice as well as mine.

This ignores the idea of a zygote/fetus having it's own independent legal status, or the idea that it is simply wrong to terminate such regardless of any rights. I reject these two ideas because I don't consider a zygote/fetus to be complete human life with full rights, and I don't have any moral feeling regarding abortion.

I've always found these types of responses to be ridiculously ignorant.

You assume, apriori, that women have the right to choose. With that assumption, you judge others' opinions regarding choice and abortion. Great. Where do I sign?

As WalkingBeast says, free will and free choice - people can do as they bloody well please. I either pay indirectly for her abortion or I pay for the child's/ person's upkeep through the public funded NHS. That's cost - the latter of which working out to be more expensive for me. As for morality, aslong as a person's choice has no adverse consequences on me, then I couldn't give a hoot - kill or keep the zygote/ fetus/ baby; I won't lose any sleep over your choice. All you people who are serious about the topic and work themselves into a lather on here amuse me (especially the retorts to a Curling thread :chomp: ).

its selfish
its THAT simple

How many children that someone else made and didn't want to care for (for whatever reason) have you taken in and raised with no assistance from any one else?

If you have, then I apologize and withdraw.

You do what you want with your body.

I will do what I want with my own and not ask you or anyone else for any help when it comes to matters of reproductivity - meaning a non-life threatening situation.

Having children is a resposibility and a gift - not a right. No one is entitled to it, not should it be forced.

THE ONLY 100% EFFECTIVE MEANS OF BIRTH CONTROL IS ABSTINENCE. DEAL.

hmm... one of these threads again?

I'm pro choice when it comes to EVERYTHING. Of course you should be able to deal with the consequences. There are also consequences to having an abortion, it's not an easy thing. Except when you take that pill, but I'm sure it gives you a stomach ache and the shits.

Anyways, we should move away from traditional "abortion" techniques that people find so horrible and find safer more personal procedures like the non-surgical abortions.

To all of those people who are against abortion: You all have changed my mind.....I'm not going to get an abortion now.....will you take my baby after birth & raise it, love it, give it a good home?? Well??

There are just too many abused, orphaned, parent-less children in this world of every race, age, etc for abortion to be discontinued.

If you've ever worked as a child care counselor in a group home where the kids were taken AWAY from parents who used them as prostitutes so they could get free drugs (and other stories) then you would support forced sterilization/abortion.....

LOL!!!

It's like we're eating pizza and offering you a slice, and you're a little kid at lunch thinking, "Lunchables Pizza and Cracker Stacker works for me! What would I want pizza for?".

Do me a favor and define 'ethics'.
