Abcess possible whilst on tetracycline?

I did a prop. + fina glute injection today and the pain is bad (Worse than a normal shot)! Is it possible to get an abcess whilst on antibiotics like tetracycline? (I'm running tetracycline for acne @ 50mg twice daily)

The pain may be because you injected too fast. If the area around the injection becomes red and warm to the touch, then it is most likely an abscess. I'm sure you could still get an abscess even if you are on the antibiotic you mentioned.

Indeed. It was because I injected too fast. The pain is gone today but there is a 'lump' in the muscle... doctor seems confident it's just the oil.
On another note, is a thigh injection just as easy to do as a glute injection? It took me days to work up the courage to do my first glute inj. and I didn't even feel it! What about the thigh though, is the sweet spot just as easy to pick? (It's the distance from thumbtip to little finger-tip when the thumb is placed on your hipbone, right? I've read 2Thick's page, just wanna be sure!)

It is much safer to inject in the glute. The thigh has many more blood vessels and nerves that could be hit by an injection. For glute injections, just aim at the upper, outer quadrant and you will be fine.
