Abcess?? Need advice

Just went from 250 test e wk to 500 wk. At first I thought it was the extra amount injected into my glute that hurt, but it been since monday around noon and it still hurts. It's not raised but it is red and a little bigger than a golf ball patch that is warm to the touch. The pain sucks but not unbearable, can i wait it out? From your experience how should I proceed.

Options:

1. Doctor - tell them that you were wrestling your roommate and landed on a tack - I've used that one before (didnt even turn out to be an abcess, I was just paranoid)

2. Minocycline and Tetracycline are both antibiotics carried by pet stores - you will want the capsule kind (I think those are generally sold online). Get the minocycline, its more effective.

3. Get a hold of some keflex (cephalexin). Chances are thats what your doctor would prescribe.

4. Probably not the best idea, wait it out for another 2 days and see if it gets worse. I've had test prop shots that were painful for a week after injection.

I actually have a 3 fresh bottles (180) of IC Monocycline 50 MG caps. I had them on hand in case of acne breakout. Any dosage advice.

I would probably start with a 1 cap 4 times a day - spread out for the first two days then drop it down to 2 times a day.

Do a google on it and see what the recommended doses are.

I have had the same thing in my arm and my glute. If it is not an infection, the warmth and pain will be gone by friday, if not, go see a doc.

What size pin did you use? Could just be depth/absorbtion - if so, should be gone in a few days.

1.5" / 23g There was a decent size air bubble in the dart cause I was stupid and rushing, but I've injected plently of little bubbles in the past that i couldn't get out which has never been a big deal. At first I thought that was the reason for the pain but the redness and warmth freaked me out a bit.

Yeah I would hold off on the antibiotics at this point. You say you are not sure if it is an infection or not. Taking antibiotics unneccessarily is what helps to form resistant strains of bacteria. I have had lumps that lasted over a week.

Do you always use craps loads of isopropyl on the injection area? That is very important to avoid infections.

Use a hot compress to rub the injection site. You can also sit on a heating pad. I've had a spot the size of a softball swell up and get sore and hot. After using the pad and the compress for 3-4 days it went away. Your gear may have a high BA content causing the soreness.

Always remember, bubble bad! bubble bad! Like I stated earlier, give it till friday, if no better by then, go to the doctor. Use whatever reason you feel confortable with that may of caused the infection.

Also, I never use the same pin that I have used to draw the juice with, to inject with. NEVER! But, thats just me. Pinz are way to cheap.
