AAS the good and the bad

I've run 3 cycles using primo, deca, sustanon, dbol, drol.. PCT products, etc.

I've come up with the bad and the good about AAS use. researching online and on forums seems like I am not the only person to experience these good and bad reactions to AAS use.

first the good:

1. being able to lift way more weight then most everyone in my gym .. I never thought I would be able to bench >300 and warmup with 250. without AAS this would not be possible for someone who is my height 5' 6".. other guys who are 6feet tall at the gym are lifting 150.
2. building muscle: i put on 3/4 inch on my biceps in 6 weeks on cycle. lets face it, naturally I would not be able to grow my biceps that quickly. and its not like I am not an experienced lifter, been lifting for 12 years..
3. recovery: I can do supersets, Weider workouts, back to back days of tough workouts. it would be much harder without those extra red blood cells to push recovery
4. confidence. no explanation needed.

the bad:

1. used to have 1-2 bowel movements per day. now I have 4-5. I've read online AAS can change your bowel movements, well it sure has. this is a problem, especially considering i HATE public restrooms and its kinda embarassing to dissapear for 10 minutes to take a dump when you have company or you are at someones house as a guest.
2. aggression: I'm a mellow guy but I sometimes feel like I want to fight and argue with people on cycle. looking back I wish i could apologize for being a punk, but I don't think they would accept my apology.
3. emotional changes: I have felt suicidal on cycle. and I have felt really really good on cycle. both extremes. AAS has definately caused my moods to swing.
4. pee-pee issues: towards the end of cycles and into PCT my pee-pee doesn't work as good as it does on cycle. much like 3, i go from one extreme to the next instead of being consistent.
5. insomnia: especially with dbol, this effects my life in many ways. not a good thing, i've never suffered from insomnia until AAS.
6. blood pressure spikes: only when I was running deca with dbol together did i have this problem and it was very brief. the water weight was the reason. for heavier guys you need to be careful and monitor yourself.. on my current primo/sustanon cycle my blood pressure has been normal.
7. de-hydration: you want to run a diuretic? well be prepared for the sides that come with it. I chose to run a very small amount of adex and for brief periods, but it made me very thirsty anyway

lots of posts about people debating whether they want to try AAS, well there are pro's and con's to everything including this. hope this post helps.

for experienced AAS users feel free to add to this list.. there are more things but these are the things off the top of my head I've experienced. I'm sure TREN users can come up with much more things lol

the only bad for me is the price of primo var and mast lol

u forgot the lower back pumps HAHAHA

fuk them

thanks for reminding me about the pumps. but I'm not sure if its a pro or con. I kinda enjoy the pump while working out. never have dealt with back pumps. on dbol though I have really bad leg pumps while running, cannot go more then 1/2 mile without my calves feeling like they are about to explode. so what I do is run 1/4 mile, walk, run, walk. and complete my 1 mile after a workout.

so listen up noobs, if you want to run keep in mind dbol is not something you want to mess with.

also one that can be construed as a pro or con is being accused of juicing by people. had 1 guy at the gym accuse me, friends, family, and co-workers especially.

i'm flattered by the compliments but at the same time I feel insulted that I put in so much hard work and they think injecting steroids 2-3X per week is the sole reason for my gains. i keep getting asked "what are you on?" "are you taking pills?" "where are the injection points?"

+1
I know exactly what you mean. On the one hand the compliments are great. On the other hand I despise people jumping to the assumption that you are on AAS and that is the reason why you have a great physique.

I looked great before ever using AAS and used to be accused then as well... Now whenever people come to me with that attitude I immediately outline the years of training and solid diet. That usually shuts them up

Stevesmi,
I believe it's also worth adding a note on that abscess you once experienced. And also writing something about the tough recovery you once went through. I don't remember the details, but I know you've got lots of info on those two topics.

I have a pro. I'm in my fifties and I have young things that just go nuts over me. One girl, maybe 17, ditched her boyfriend in Safeway so she could run over to the next aisle and and shake her booty at me. I came out of Safeway one day and a young black girl, maybe 20, was doing some work for a charity. She looked at me and said "Oh you're a man, Oh you're a bigman." She started clapping her hands together and hopping up and down. For a fifty year old man with thinning hair that is a definite pro.

never experienced any sides mentioned above with low dose cycles, just shin splins when doing cardio

Steve i would start taking ST johns Wort it makes a big difference ,4 caps does it for me however adjust dostages as you see fit, its also a good focus enhancer taken before gym time.
