AAS and type 1 diabetes...

i have a friend with type 1 diabetes and he is curious as to whether or not he should take aas. i gave him the best advice i could, i told him to start small and check his sugar often, slowly increasing the dosage.

but, thats just an educated guess on my part. anyone else have an answer for this?

I've heard from a diabetic bodybuilder that test decreases insulin sensitivity.

advice from his md is simple- dont take illegal drugs. no, i would rather have advice from someone in the same situation.

actually there are a lot of studies out saying that {small} cycles of test can actually help diabetics,,, that being said i would still tell your friend to find a doctor he can trust to talk to..

he may want to have his test levels checked, because diabetics have lower test then non- diabetics with a good endo he may even be able to get a script..

I am no doc though, i would encourage him to talk to 1 first just to play it safe because every diabetic is different as far as how they react to drugs..

ass test in pert can reduce the amount of ins. needed very close blood sug. monitering needed B/c ins. dose will need to be adj. other wise at reasonable dose would be ok (would stay away from oarals)
