AAS and the human brain

This is the site where I read that AAS affects the limbic system.

http://www.counselingseattle.com/drugs/steroids.htm

Even if it doesn't affect the limbic system, the idea that AAS could affect one's ability to learn and recall memory is a question I believe deserves attention.

My question was to the bro who said Interlukin affects the lymbic system....they are immune system cytokines, not neurotransmitters or anything that will have affects on the lymbic system. They are cell signalers....signals between immune system cells.

As far as AAS affecting the lymbic system, its a possibilty considering they do affect NTs (dopamine) and the CNS in other ways.

Now that you mention it, I do remember more of my dreams. Don't know if it's actually test related, but, the test helps me with other things that may help with the sleep.

Thats funny u said that cuz I just finished a test cycle and I could definately remember a lot more of my dreams. Other than remembering my dreams though I felt like my brain was a little slower and I felt like one of those dumb jock muscle bound guys you see on TV, thats probably because I had a one track mind and all I could think about was sex.

Okay, let's put this question another way, does anybody here feel stupid or have had their friends observe them as being more stupid during or after a cycle? Do any of you feel a decrease in you intelligence after having done so many cycles?

Good question swole...anyone know the answer here to this?

Oh yeah, try a different cam.....lol

God knows I don't have near the anatomy and physiology knowledge that some here do, which is why I'm calling on all of them for their expertise.

This is my concern. I know all about thinking more quickly and recalling memory more easily and with more detail while on. I've experience this myself. I've experience the inflated sense of well being and confidence. But, what about how it could possibly result in one toping out in their cognitive ability sooner?

Take this as an analogy. Suppose you're rebuilding a muscle car and you can't decide between setting it with great acceleration or high top end speed. You can't have both. If your car has great acceleration and you top out in speed sooner. If you have high top end speed, you don't accelerate as quick.

Now, think of you cognitive ability before AAS as that car before you decide on acceleration or top end speed. Take AAS and you can think quickly and easily (acceleration), but you're ability to grasp high level concepts and theories may diminsh. Stay off AAS, and you don't think quite as quick as you would have, but it's still fast enough and you maintain that ability to comprehend highly complex thought (high top end speed).

I know this may seem a bit irrelevant, but anything I put in my body that could change it temporarily or permanently is something that I want to completely understand. Know what I mean?
