How many of you on here has experience with Retin-A ? I can order this through one of my research companies, and I was wondering how effective it is? I get extreme bacne about half way through my cycle and minocycline has no effect on it other than keeping it from getting way way out of control. I get some bad acne on my face as well.. Let me know :)

Had the same problem except mine was the opposite, acne got bad while "off" and actually better while on AAS. I used Minocycline for 2 months and it worked great but I noticed it started to come back after a while as I guess my body built up a tolerance to it. I am currently into my third month of Accutane at 40mg/Day and love it. I'll still get a zit now and then but from my understanding, the 3rd month is when you really start to see the results. May want to look into that. As for Retin-A, I have nevr used it. I used a topical cream my doc gave me a script for, called Neo-Medrol which works pretty well for minor cases of acne.

yeah accutane is the shit man.

1 month at 40mg/day
4 months at 80mg/day

cleared me the hell up - it was nice not to erupt post cycle.

Basically retin-A is topical accutane. If you use it right, it should work well. The main reason people don't think it works is because they don't give it enough time. Just like accutane, it takes about a month to start clearing up. In most cases, it will even get worse for the first few weeks with accutane or retin-A. I like topical cause you don't have to deal with internal sides, and it helps treat lines and wrinkles too. topical might take a couple weeks longer for some people. You have to use it right too. Too much will shred the fu$k out of your face. If you have any questions, let me know.

I only get acne on my shoulders and upper back when I'm on.......I've got a stash of minocycline, but just haven't used it yet.

Does it prevent acne or just "control" it?
