No one stores plywood to be prepared for hurricanes. People buy it as each storm comes. Some don't even bother buying it and put tape on their windows. Like that will protect it. At the end of the hurricane most people find something to do with the plywood so they don't have to store it. It's really not worth it to store it. It's not something you will need the entire hurricane season many years.
Stores are out of plywood, water, most canned goods, batteries, flashlights, nails, generators, and other hurricane necessities. I waited over 30 minutes at a gas station to fill up. Traffic is horrible! The main highway near my house was closed for hours today. Schools in the entire state are closed tomorrow. Over 1.2 million people on the east coast have been mandated to evacuate already today. When winds hit 40mph bridges will be closed and no emergency vehicles will be on the roads. That means I may have to evacuate soon even though I'm on the west coast and it's not suppose to directly hit me.
