-- i dont get it - wouldnt a shelter or vet dissuade / not euthanize a dog that isnt having major health problems?

also: very sad - it actually brought tears to my eyes because i know how close the bond can be with a pet. i love my dogs

Sorry bro, that sucks... My mom did that after my parents divorced, she had my dads great dane put to sleep. He was old and had problems going down stairs (not fun trying to carry a 200lb dog down stairs). My dad flipped out on her, suprised she is still alive.

I have two dogs from a past relationship and faught tooth and nail to keep them cause she wanted to seperate the two. Was not going to happen, it was like breaking up a brother, sister combo. Now I have two dogs which combined weigh 20lbs.
