A friend is missing

A friend of mine has been reported missing. His car was used in a bank robbery about 3 days ago. He was reported missing not too long after. They are not tying him to the robbery. I don't think he has it in him anyway. No one has any clue where he could be. It just hit me tonight that something very bad could have happened to him. He's a total sweetheart. I've not known him very long, but it's hard not to like him. I just want to ask everyone to please keep him and his family in your prayers. :(
 
It's not like him. He's too enthusiastic about school and everything he is involved with. But, there's no way I can vouch for him and say for sure. I really hope he's not though. I don't think he is.
 
I had a friend disapear once. Turns out the idiot just took off for a few days with some girl and left us all frantic and worried (we filed a missing persons report and everything). Probably doesn't help much, but I hope it ends up being a similar situation for you.

I know it's tough babe, but try to think good thoughts.
 
You have no clue how much I am just hoping this is him being a thoughtless, careless idiot that just took off. I might be pissed but that is better than the alternatives.

hope your friend is ok. don't think he's involved in the bank robbery or do you think he would use his own car?
just think positive! sometimes people have to take a "time out"
and go away for a few days without thinking that they could
be missed.

The man that robbed the bank is described in his 30s', different height, blonde hair. That's not my friend. He's a 19 year old kid. The police are questioning if he had any involvement at all. Right now, their main concern is finding him. He hasn't been seen since Friday night at 10:30. :(
 
I thought he had only been missing since Monday. However, the press printed an article today saying he was last seen Friday. :(
 
After all this time, there might be news. A body was found last night, and police are saying that this might be linked to the case that I mentioned to you all a long time ago. There's a strong possibility that it's my missing friend. I'm almost hoping it is just so that there will be closure for his family, girlfriend, and friends. At the same time, I don't want to hear that it's him. Mised up huh? :(
 
That is so sad. I know what you mean though. You would like the closure, but you also want to hang onto the hope that he is ok.

this is sad, i don't know which would be worse. not knowing or actually knowing....at least if you don't know, you still have hope
 
Well, the body that was found was sent to a local university to be examined and compared to dental records. The local sheriff said that at this time, they are fairly sure that it is my missing friend. The men that led authorities to the body have both been charged in the robbery that took place in April. They will not officially confirm that it is my friend, but they are saying they are pretty sure.

I just can't get why the killers decided to lead police to his body. An attack of conscience? (sp?) Or maybe they just wanted to get attention for what they had done. If they were going to steal a damn car, I don't see why they had to steal a car with someone in it. Damn them both.

As far as the questions, you will probably never get any answers, at least none that make sense. Try to remember the way your friend lived, not the way he died. I know that it is hard to do at this moment, but remember him and not the people that took his life.

Thanks hun. We weren't really close so there are people in much worse shape than I am. It's just he was so full of life and such a total sweetheart. Always trying to help others. He was the type that would pull over if someone needed a ride. Maybe that's what happened in April. I don't know. And he was so young too. His mom and family were on the news last night. His mom said that this wasn't better. Maybe she knew, but it wasn't better.
 
I was simply hoping he didn't get himself in trouble but now hearing that he had potentially been murdered, I'm at a loss for words. PC, if it all turns out for the worst, you have my deepest condolences. God bless his family and may they find strength in each other.
 
The two guys have been charged with aggravated robbery, and their bond has been set at $200,000 each. The police still haven't charged them with murder, or even figured out how he was killed. In fact, they still haven't made a positive identification. The body is going to be sent to the anthropology center at UT for further tests. They said it might be the middle of next week before a positive ID is made.
