A few questions about weight loss

I just found this site. I have been reading through it for the past few hours. I have a few questions that I hope you guys/gals could help me with.

I am about 50 pounds over weight. I have a 24 hour fitness membership. I am going to start going after work tomorrow and keep it up 4 to 5 times a week. What exercises would you guys recommend me starting? I am 5 11 240. I read up a bit on this site about Levorex and THERMOREXIN. Would Levorex be the best to start with weight loss?

I know drinking water is one of the most important things you can do to help weight loss. I drink allot of Ice Tea with equal. Would that take place of the water? I have heard that it would, and I have heard that it wouldn’t so I wanted to get a correct answer.

Are there any other things that you guys would recommend me doing to get healthier and lose weight?

Thanks

I have never really dieted. I try to check the labels on the products that I buy. I guess I would like to know what I should be eating day to day. For example on a normal day I would eat 4 eggs for breakfast (If I eat breakfast). Lunch I would eat a cup of noodles or fast food. For dinner home made tacos or something like that. If we don't get home from work to late. My girlfriend and I have a 1 hour drive to and from work. If we are tired we just get fast food.

I know I eat very badly but I need to change. I would just like a little help with my food choices, and what supplements I should take if any.

Thanks.

Cut all fast food and soda then post back after a week, if your still in ill put a program together for you.

I don't drink soda only ice tea. Is ice tea as bad a soda? So only water?

Thanks I will check back in with you in a week.

suggestions from me,

write down what you eat, this creates awarness on your behalf as to what you are eating. For me this is a critical success factoer for losing weight. also

eat 6 smaller meals a day,

keep carbs to a minimum at night time,

drink h20 and lots of it, nothing can really replace water, especially diet soda or diet ice tea,

if possible do your cardio in the morning on an empty stomach

ultimatly you will lose weight if your body used more calories that it consumes,

dont try and rush things, slow steady wiehgt loss is longer lasting than rapid weight loss, dont become obsessed with the scale, its an evil device, look at your self in the mirror, judge your progess by your clothes, if their looser than your doing the right thing.

most importanly keep focused, dont get discouraged if it takes a long time to get the results that you want.

Thanks I have been making some notes of what I have been eating. I need to eat 6 meals instead of 3 or 4. I also need to cut down on the carbs at diner time. Since I posted the first message I have only been drinking water.

Thanks for the reply.

What is Complex carbs? What is the difference and how will I know what carbs I am eating.

Complex cards is a term refering to whole grains, such as whole grain bread (whole wheat)....oatmeal, fruits, and so forth. Processed foods such as white bread spike your blood sugar as they are digested quickly within the stomach. Whole grain foods require 1) more energy to digest 2) will not digest so quickly as to raise your blood sugar.
The rise in blood sugar plays a large roll in fat storage as i understand it...someone correct me if i'm wrong, but foods high in sugar seem to digest quickly and be more readily stored as fat.

All the advice given above is great. Hope that works out and you see encouraging results. :artist:
