OK Lola has been dead for well over a week now and I haven't had a chance to take her back to the mall to exchange her for a new one, obviously, at this juncture her shell is far more valuable to me HERE than me spending gas and time to get another Lola. So what do I do?
If it was a turtle, I'd say slow boil over several hours so the flesh and bones come loose and discard the liquid, but if it's a crab of most types boiling will turn the shell a different color. I think putting the carcass somewhere outdoors that you're not downwind of but is reasonably secure bugs and stuff might clean it up, but the main shell might go missing ...
