a couple a crunching hits for your perusal

rugby players in general like to slap eachothers bums. i do it, no homo.
im sure the nfl guys like to slap eachothers arses?

i think puddles is referring to how both of the scots managed to knock themselves out when attempting to make tackles. you really do need to be careful in rugby, with the lack of headgear and padding, when going for a big tackle.

im confused. now i can't figure out if you are slating my beloved game, or being appreciative of its player's awesome power.
damn you, and your ambigous e-demeanour.

i meant pansies because they keep knocking themselves out

basically, it was a game that scotland knew they had to stamp there authority on from the kick off, with wales being the defending champions. scotland knew they had to make big hits to try and break the welsh, mentally and physically. unfortunately rugby is a funny old game, and this kind of thing happens every now and again. its not uncommon for this sort of thing to happen, but twice in one game?
maybe we should start following the nfl's example, and start wearing a suit of armour to play in.

NFLers hit way harder and would die without pads

or is it that they hit harder...because they have pads?

no they hit harder because they don't have to run around for 80 straight minutes. size, power, and speed are maximized by NFLers, while rugby players have to focus on stamina. Linebackers and safeties are without a doubt bigger, faster, and stronger than ruggers

you make a very good point nimbus.
they also hit harder because, unlike rugby, you dont actually have to be seen to attempt to wrap your arms around the person you are tackling, you can actually just plain run into them, like a 270lb missile with a shiny helmet.

both good bro sports for sure. but to hell with which sport is tougher.

If someone is gonna knock themselves out trying to hitstick a ballcarrier who doesn't even see it coming, we should be able to partake in some hearty lols

"partake in some hearty lols"
love it
i got another one, this one is a guy who was famous for his brutal tackling style, often stirring up controversy over his "unnecessarily" big hits, that sometimes backfired on him. let me just find it.

Technically dreadful tackle first vid, school boy error not tucking with the shoulder.

i know its basically a try saving tackle, and that he needed to make the tackle like, 5 seconds ago, but i just cant think why he doesnt get lower. if he had have tucked his head to the side and got maybe just a foot lower, everybody would have been praising him for such a great tackle.
hitting a big no7 like williams, standing up straight, is never a good idea.
