You guys are still talking about a very very small chance that your life will ever be endangered by a robber.

Go stand outside in the rain under lightening....odds are you'll get struck by it first than you'll get killed by some random thief.

Do you have antilock brakes? Do you have airbags? Do you have a fire extinguisher in your house? Do you protect yourself for all other sorts of remote occurences? I bet not.....Guns just make you feel like a stud.

RyanH, don't commit a crime and you shouldn't worry about getting shot. Someone breaks into my house I am going to light them up, and I shoot to kill. So what is your view on the tobacco industry whose only purpose is to get people addicted? It is proven to cause cancer yet we sell it over the counter. Here where I live I just read that a 5th college aged woman was raped cause some intruder broke into her house. My gf knows how to shoot my 9, and if someone comes into rape her she would blow him to hell.

If you don't want to get shot, don't try and rape someone, don't break into their property, don't deal drugs, and don't join a gang. And if for some reason you defy all odds and get attacked at random, vote for a republican, atleast he would prosecute the bastard unlike the dems.

MP5---Do you have snakebite serum on hand in case of the slim chance that a snake bites you? Do you have a fire extinguisher....Do you have a waterproof blowdryer? Get my point---there are many dangerous things that can happen to you....why are you so worried about the things that might involve a gun?

Some risks shouldn't be taken, I dont have a airbag and wouldnt use it if I did...I just dont think they are developed enough to warant me using it.

Why would someone want to break into my home, cause I like to have nice things. I'm fortunate enough and have had a bit of luck to be able to get nice things for my new apt.

Ryan just to let you know I currently do not own a gun for my new place. I have owned guns and was taught early in life how to use it not abuse it. Perhaps I should go back and pick up my weapons.

Or how about knowing someone who was attacked and didn't have anything to defend themselves with. How about someone who was murdered and didn't have anything to defend themselves vs someone murdered trying to defend themselves with a gun

My faimly being trained with weapons isn't a reason to buy one...Rather just that, a faimly history...


A likely Reason to buy one...Cause it's my God given right, a right that has been protected by frustration, blood and tears to make sure I and every other American can make a free choice to excersise if wanted too

Your future children will likely get killed by the gun before a would be-robber would. The odds are still strongly against the use of guns.
