have found contradictory articles regarding this. Is it legal or illegal to posses needles/syringes in california.

I'm pretty sure its legal to possess and buy insulin syringes/needles from pharmacies in California. I seem to remember that the state passed a law recently about that.

As for other gauge needles, they're illegal to possess without a prescription.

come on guys i know this is posted in the wrong section but i figured all the juicers around here would have some answers

BC of recent benefits of needle exchange programs and risk of AIDS, etc. non-prescription, over-the-counter sale of syringes has recently expanded to include almost all of the United States. Only four states (Delaware, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey) still require prescriptions to purchase syringes.

Here's the legal text: "In 2004, California joined the list of states allowing nonprescription syringe sales when Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 1159 (Vasconcellos) into law. California now permits over-the-counter sales of up to 10 syringes in counties and cities that elect to participate in the statewide Disease Prevention Demonstration Project. Since the enactment of SB 1159, 14 counties (Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Yuba, Marin, Santa Cruz, Alameda, Yolo, San Mateo, Solano, Sonoma, Humboldt, and Santa Clara) and 3 cities (Los Angeles, West Hollywood, and San Francisco) have authorized non-prescription syringe sales."

not sure about the other 3, but you can definately buy syriges OTC in the State of MA

i was in court a couple months back and there was a guy that was fighting a misdemeanor for posession of needles in his glove box during a traffic stop. he brought in a Dr note saying his wife was diabetic, and he ended up not being prosecuted but still had to pay fees.

go to walmart or Walgreens or whatever and ask the geek at the pharmacy about it.

im in tennessee, it is legal to buy /possess pinz however,,NO-ONE will sell them to you OTC w/out a script. as far as insulin pinz you must have ins. bottle, script, etc, some kind of proof. and as far as any other size pinz u can hang it up. walgreens, cvs, eckerds,,etc says its against store policy. so its not always the laws that will stop u, its at the stores descretion
