9 yr old banned form pitching in Little league...

I didn't get that same impression. I thought it implied that there was a league with older kids the other parents want to force him into, not a 'higher' league with kids of the same age.

that might be true, but even so.....if you're able to punch out kids a year or two older than you, why stay where you are? The kid obviously has talent, nurture it by making him pitch to older kids.....it's how you get better. If he was my kid I wouldn't need other parents to detail this out to me, I'da had the kid facing real competition the second it dawned on me he was pwning everyone in this league. His parents are only holding back his own development for the sake of the team he's playing on........of course they want him to stay, he's their mule.

They need to come to Atlanta, GA and play for a while. They got travle ball teams with ten yr olds pumping that shit in their in the high 60's. By the time these kids are 11 and 12 if they cant throw 70 plus they don't pitch. But that is travle baseball, not little league. Looks like some kids are better suited for piano lessons.

10 year olds in the high 60's? no way man. I threw 62-65 when I was 12 and mowed down every last kid that got up to the plate and I played competition leagues and traveled all over the country and I never saw a kid throw harder than 70 at 12 years old. I ended up throwin 92 in high school and played a few years in minor league ball.

10 year olds do not throw high 60's, let alone most 12 year olds.

same shit kinda happened to me when i was a kid playing sports. i sprouted very early and was always the tallest kid in my class. my mom always carried a copy of my birth certificate on her at all times because parents would always bitch about me kicking other kid's asses on the football field.

Dude no shit. I coach travel ball. We have a kid on our team right now, threw 66 at ten years old. High sixtys may have been a slightly pushing it. This kid is now 11 yrs old throws 73 mph from fifty feet. These travle ball kids in the USSSA baseball are not typical little leaguers, they play year round and train year round. Tournaments in the 11 and Under Major division in the East Cobb area of Atlanta, you will not see a pitcher throw less than 65 mph, unless his curve ball breaks 2 feet. That kid I was talking about 5' 11" tall, these kids are freaks of nature. Not like that baseball you see at Williams Port, the real deal, runners lead off, the whole nine.
