How stupid is this?

It says the 9 year old throws over 40 mph, which is too fast for kids in his age division 8-10.

That's a bunch of crap if you ask me. Kid sohuld be allowed to pitch. I threw 52 mph consistently when I was 10, and was the league leading pitcher. But no one tried to get me o stop playing. Parents are just being a bunch of pussies.

i read that certain leagues "import" kids with birth certs that make them a few years younger than they are....for freakin' little league

They need to come to Atlanta, GA and play for a while. They got travle ball teams with ten yr olds pumping that shit in their in the high 60's. By the time these kids are 11 and 12 if they cant throw 70 plus they don't pitch. But that is travle baseball, not little league. Looks like some kids are better suited for piano lessons.

I'd sue the league to a halt if that was my kid: if he can't play, nobody plays. The other parents have to accept that their untalented little brat just isn't good enough to hit off of a really good pitcher, and move on.

eh.....after reading the article it said specifically that this was a low caliber league. It's like JV vs. Varsity. It seems the kid is good enough to play in higher caliber league's but doesn't cause his parents want him to dominate the lower league.......that sounds pretty pussy ass to me. If you're so good, move up and play better players......it only makes you better. How much good is this kid getting from striking out re-re's?? He's not going to go to the next level by punching out a bunch corky's for the next 2 years.......

I didn't get that same impression. I thought it implied that there was a league with older kids the other parents want to force him into, not a 'higher' league with kids of the same age.
