89% on my test/review

Had to take the test yesterday for the basic survey school training offered by work. First test in a long list of them to becoming a Directional Driller, and I could only pull off a damn 89%, I am a little hacked.
Damn thing plus review took almost 7 hours. Only an 89!
Then the final beat down came when the lead hand said was my math was weaker than it should be even though I only missed 2 on that part.
So, I went and had some drinks afterward and feel better this morning.

but if its in your field you probably should have been in the 90percentile.

Never had the math portion in school, and I got one of the top scores in the class. It wasn't just math though that is a small portion of it.
Apparently, only only 1 person has ever scored 100 on the test.
Nevertheless, I get pissy when I am not the best at something.

Considering I am 31 and a Journalism/Aviation major I probably won't ever be back in those classes.
Funny how I ended up in a career that math is the primary focus considering I hated it in school.
I am going to be taking some online or night classes so I can become proficient in the math that applies to my work.
Work isn't making me do it but I plan on being the best in my field so I will be back in some school in addition to the classes taught by the company.
