I often like to brand unsuspecting people on the forehead with this. I remember when I was forging the brand those many years ago, and I spilled some of my shine into the fire and got a nasty burn on my shin. Good time. For a heretic.
So today I was walking my flock when I came across an old lady who had fallen to the ground. She needed help, so I tied the sheep up to an arbutus tree and walked over to her. She was wiggling and asking for help, so I pulled out the brand, lit a fire, heated it up and shoved it into her forehead like I usually do.
This is where things went wrong.
I suppose that due to her advanced age, her bones and skin were relatively weak, and when I pushed the brand into her forehead, it went through her skull and out the other side of her head. I wasn't expecting a dead oldie. Although it was kind of funny when it touched her brain, because some brain matter boiled over and poured out of the wound.
Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma.
I work well under pressure though, so I hacked her lifeless body up into small pieces and fed them to my sheep. I had to throw the bones into the nearest gravel pit though, just for the sake of doing so.
I regret feeding the sheep though, because apparently old woman meat is quite vile, and now my flock is a bit lethargic.
