hey everyone...ive taken 3 days off from the gym so i can rest before i start this 5x5 plan that everyone here is talking about...but i was wondering before i do it after tomorrow...is it possible to do a few extra exercises along with keeping in line with the 5x5 plan? ...because it sounds like i would be done working out pretty fast with the 5x5 plan so i was wondering could i do a few sets of curls as well to burn the biceps a little extra? then maybe on wednesday i could do a few tricep sets....then on friday i could work on some calf raises to work the legs out extra?...or do you guys think i should STICK to the plan and do nothing extra because it would be too tiring or too hard on my body? also...i normally take 1 protein shake (22g) the day i workout after my workout (usually about 30 mins after)...i dont take any on off days or any more than one...so i was wondering should i increase the protein shakes? should i take 2 on days i work out and 1 on off days? or stay how i am right now?
