question:
5x5 starting weight --> 8rep weight less 1month
i feel like im gonna waste 1 month coz if understood weel after 1 month ill be back to same point! am i stupid or there is something "magic" with it?
thanks

how would you split my routine considering that:
-i want to give IMPORTANCE to legs (HAMS especially)
-some "extra workout" for legs will be done with deadlifts on back day, i think
-is it necessary, for back, 2 5x5 excercices (deads for lower back and lat pulldown for general back)
i need an advice, thanks

as far as the starting weight, i started off somewhat low. for example, my max bench was 200x3 and my max squat was 265x5. both of these i did a month and a half before i started 5x5. i took 2 1/2 weeks off training before starting 5x5.

i started my bench at 135lbs and my squat at 165lbs. i have not stalled on either of these yet. last week's bench was 190lbs for all 5x5 and my squat was 210 for all 5x5. the first few weeks i felt like i was doing nothing really, but i was working on nailing down form til it was picture perfect. after a few weeks, i start to felt like i was getting a decent workout, but nothing too strenous. now i feel like i'm maxxing out every week practically, but i know i can push more.

everyone has said the key is to start light. you don't want to stall after 3 weeks, you want a weight you can work with for a while without a problem.

what shocked me was after 4 or 5 weeks, i felt like i wasn't getting enough of a workout with 5x5, so i took some measurements just to see. i was shocked to see that i was actually growing. give it a try, start off light, you'll be in for the long haul (12 weeks here and havn't stalled yet, at least not for more than 1 week).

I focus my 5x5 with the big compounds where I expend the most energy up-front at the the start of my workout, makeing sure my max effort is with those movements.

Chest/Tris (Bench 5x5)
Back/Bi's (DL's 5x5)
Quads/Hams (Squat 5x5)
Shoulders/Calves (BNBP 5x5)

Working good for me.....

there's my split and my rep scheme for isolation exercises is explained in that thread. it's easier to just link you and let you download the file than it is to retype it :D file is virus free as it was made on a linux machine, so no worries. hell, if it would happen to have a virus, i'd have bigger problems than you.

hope that helps out. any questions go ahead and ask. if i can't help, someone else can.
