5x5 novice question....

I apolagize for novice questions....

In 5x5 (which I assume means 5 sets with 5 reps each)...

1) How much time should I allow between sets ?
2) How much time between excercises ?

3) Also, my height is 6-0 and I weight 197 lb....I am not obese, but I sure would like to lose my gut, (my BF is ~19%) How can I combine muscle building with fat loss...? Should I do cardio in my off-workout days ?

Thanks
Adam

As for losing body fat, that's mostly going to be diet, but cardio works also.
Be persistent and your bf% will drop. Honestly you need to either bulk or diet down. I would cut bf first, then after you get closer to where you want to be bf wise, you can start bulking.
You'll also get much better gains this way.

toozee hit the nail on the head, even with steroids you cant gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, so you're going to have to pick one or the other. Any other questions you might have about the routine are answered in the thread that toozee provided the link to, there are alot of posts to read but well worth it. The sticky at the top has other routines that are really effective as well

What is your training experience like. In my opinion some newbies may over train on the 5x5 fairly quickly and may be better of doing a 3x5 or only accessory movement if they choose the 5x5.

Thanks guys....I have been working out on on/off basis... mostly due to time constrains ( I commute to work 1.5 hours each way) . But soon, I'll live 3 miles away from my work, so I'll have more time for physical training...

Thanks for all the advices guys !
