500mg test e/week - will it screw up my sperm count?

I guess I know the answer to this but shoot, its been so long since i cycled (1.5yrs)... I used to do heavy cycles for no real good reason except i thought more was better, anyway - I was shut down pretty hard !! 0 sperm count... So for past 1.5yrs I've laid off and they came back up to 10million (still low)..
I'm itching though - do you guys think a low dose test only cycle will wreck me?
How about an EQ only cycle?

500mg a wk. isn't what I would consider a low dose...

idk about this one man. if i were you i would concentrate more on diet and routine. after that i would do like 250mg/wk of prop so i could cut it quickly if i had to. but i would get with your doc and let him know what your doing and get check ups while on. did you run proper pct's with your previous cycles? if no then that could be a reason for what you went through. do it small and do it right if you do it at all.

yeah: my diet needs to be more in check. its not completely out of whack but its not super strict like it was when i did high doses a way back.
yes - i ran proper PCT. clomid/nolva afterwards along with HCG and HMG.
so maybe i should only do 250mg/wk of test e? heres the thing - i have like 6 vials of test e and 3 vials of eq leftover from a while ago. they all have expiry dates of aug 2009 so im itching !!!

I have a feeling you're going to do it anyways with it sitting right in front of you. Hell I would but wouldn't advise it. Just get rid of it....it'd pretty much take you that much just to get started good in the cycle anyways and then you'd be out. Plus fuck you sperm count up again.

test does not screw up the quality of sperm but def. decreases quantity....it will come back after a good PCT though...nothing to worry about

I took hcg throughout and both at the end along with clomid and nolvadex.

im 39 and not sure if they were ever normal - never wanted kids before.. as luck would have it probabyl never will !

i just got my latest results today - im now up to 11million (from8.8 million on 12/17/2008, 5.5 million was my count on 9/30/2008). and i've been off of everything since december of 2007 . . .
one thing that hasnt improved since last analysis is conc motile normal /ejac - its less than a million = 0.49x10^6 (10 to the 6th power) reference range is greater than 6x10^6 !!!!
maybe i should lay off for a while longer. man i am itching so bad to do another cycle though !

This is a good topic and I don't want to hijack but we've all had similar experiences. My count went to zero after 8 months of hrt dose (100-150) which wasn't supposed to destroy production since it was physiological dose. The kicker is my count was over 100 million 8 months ago.

My lab work just came back and I have my fingers crossed. I feel like hell this week but it might be allergies, been off hrt for over two months. The doc has results in front of him and he hasn't called yet. Its driving me crazy. I am hoping for hcg/hmg trial or even a test/hcg/hmg combo.

Pogo - if you are truly concerned about your count I would hold off on the test/eq.

I've read on the internet that the whole sperm production process takes 74 days. feedback loop, etc.

wow man - that's a huge drop...and on such a small dose - pretty crazy!! i have never used hcg either on cycle or pct...although now i wish i would have...i just had no idea count could drop to zero with that dose. i had blood tests done a few days ago and go in to see a urologist at the end of next week. i suspect that my test will still be higher than the average guy (which won't help my case), but i'm also thinking that my fsh and lh will have to be low (hence no sperm) - in any case, i'm really hoping that he will prescribe some clomid or nolvadex and hcg. if not, i'll have to find a doc who will or i will have to wait for an online order...which unfortunately will probably take 2-3 weeks to get here. i was just about to order my pct as i still was planning to run the test for another 4 weeks and so now i'm kinda screwed as i had to cut things short. lastly, to answer your question, i am 34 and the reason for the urgency is that me and the little lady are trying to have kids...which is pretty hard with no sperm

Doc left results on message yesterday. LH, FSH, Prolactin, dht and free test all in normal range. Test came back 562 and sperm count was 26 million. That's low but hell of a lot better than 0. I think I'm still recovering and those numbers will be back up to 100 million in a few months.

I know some guys that got their girls preg on cycle and some that can't now being off for 3 years, and his count was high before because he has two kids already, and he has been on clomid, a-dex and HCG. My count is also very low, i'm going to try HCG and hopefully HMG here very soon.

just curious...if my doc does prescribe hcg and clomid next week, that means i would start it approx 3 weeks after ending a 12 week cycle of test e. (and i know that 10-14 days is generally the ideal)...if he doesn't and i have to order something online, that will be starting pct approx 5 weeks after last shot (assuming it takes 2 weeks to get here). is this really going to screw things up or what?? any recommendations would be appreciated

hey, at least you got some, right? i'd be happy with just a few little swimmers. never again will i run a cycle without hcg...probably will never run another cycle again for that matter. anyhow, glad to hear your numbers are at least climbing and artificialaspirations - happy to hear that your numbers are also getting back up there. be sure to let me know if you discover any other method to help boost counts quickly and effectively

i did 1000iu hcg and 75iu hmg per week along with 50mg clomid each day. i forgot what dose nolvadex now. been almost 2 yrs and lots of beer binge weekends
