OK, I'm looking for something online, but I really don't have time to look as much as is probably required.

I am trying to find the PADI "navigation diver" specialty textbook (a scuba diving specialty class), something I want as extra reference for an underwater mapping project I have to do in a couple of weeks.

The first person who can get me a link to somewhere I can order it online gets 50,000 karma.

Ready.....go!

"look at me, i'm a super busy female executive who feigns a interest in yuppie passions
such as sailing and diving...due to my busy schedule and important life, i regulate
the mundane tasks to the plebs who serve my awesomness"
or something like that

Why dont you just call your local dive shop?LOL at taking a class on that !Being an x-commercial diver in the gulf all my under water navigation skills were learned in 0-visability,a length of quarter inch poly rope, and alot of bumping into alot of shit that im glad i couldnt see.Now when i go scuba diving I just take mental photos of the bottom make a mark on my compass and hope the current is not to bad.

PADI UnderWater Navigator Manual (79302)

is something like that what you want? are these updated every year? i think you can get what you need from a dive school offering the course. i'd be surprised if you can't get it from padi.com itself too.

That's perfect...I just want the extra info on mapping, and that's not something that's going to change with time.

I would get it from my dive shop, but I'd rather my BF not know I feel like I need more help with navigation lol. Padi.com tells you to buy locally (Put Another Dollar In is big on pushing people to "support your local dive shop)

Bino lol....feign? :p

As mentioned previously...my boyfriend owns my "local dive shop" lol....and he will give me shit about this. it's hard enough that he's going to be evaluating the mapping project. I'm not taking the navigation class...UW mapping is part of my divemaster stuff.

I'll be doing the mapping in low vis too...maybe five to ten feet, at best. It's good though, it will make me that much stronger with a compass.
