5 Days a week

Anyone feel the need to train heaby AT LEAST five days a week? Guess I recover quickly, but I have this need to train at least that many. I think its because I have a desk job (CPA) and sit all day...I need the release.....yeah, it may hinder my results a tad, but I just feel too fat and lazy if I go every other day......PLUS, would you rather hit it hard for 45-1hr 5x then spending 2 hours in the gym?

DC is three days a week generally, but if you mean splitting it into 3 parts you would be defeating the purpose of the program. Higher frequency=faster gains. I'm not sure how to convince you that you only need 1-2 sets to stimulate growth in a muscle--everything has been said many times before.

Easssy there chief...just asking a simple question....I realize 1-2 sets is all you need......I just want to use a 3 day split, like chest/shoulders/Tri.......Back/Bis.........Quads/Hams/Calves.....no good?

I'm sorry there I realized I may have worded that a little disrespectfully, which was not my intention...

I just mean that doing a three-way split would defeat the purpose of the program. The idea is to train bodyparts very frequently by alternating back and forth so you're hitting each muscle group more often. A three-way split would be counterproductive. If you did a three-way split with low volume it would pretty much be H.I.T. and not DC.

Good post. He is right. I seem to be getting excellent results training half of my body every day, with one day off a week. I hit each body part 3 times a week and do either 2 sets for a body part, one compound and one isolation (often the compound movement is a striping set), or one giant set for each body part (consisting of 3 different lifts with no break in between). I rotate the lifts the seem to yield the best results for me from workout to workout.

Ok...gotcha...never said he wasnt right....and I understand.....so, what would my split look like if I trained M,T off Wed. Thur. Friday off Sat....Sunday, Monday off Tuesday...etc....thanks bros
