I asked this on another board but didnt get too many replies. What do you guys think about taking 30 minute rests between major lifts? I work out of my home and thus can take such long rests between my lifts if I want. I've tried it a few times and I find due to the extra rest I feel fresher for each lift and can concentrate and work harder on them. I read that Paul Anderson used a similar approach, resting up to an hour between exercises and 15-30 minutes between sets of the same lift, and he built great mass and strength, and that a lot of powerlifters take 5-10 minute rests between sets. Most of you guys probably take much shorter rests, but do you think this approach can be effective? I will only take 3-5 minute rests between sets of the same lift though. I just want to drive my strength and poundages as high as possible. Thanks
