Hey i have this doubts, please answer:rainbow:
btw, i am an ectomorph, 19 yr old, and just started going to a gym this week.

1) What is more important? Reps or weight? Is it better to put less weight and more reps than more weight and less rep or viceversa????? In like, chinning, pec deck, wrist curl, dumb bell... whatever

Like in chinning, i can go 100 reps with 30 kg stacked, but only 10 without any stacked. Whats better.

2) I engage myself on dancing, football and other games for hours everyday. But those stuff are cardio right? Isnt cardio bad for me as my task is to gain weight!! But i cant stop all of them, i gotta live my life. What do u guys think.

3) My bro currntly takes glutamine and creatine along with protein powder. Is that in anyway bad for your body???

PEace.

Just want to say that reps for an ecto is 6-8. Take your time and go as heavy as you can with good form. It's especially important that you do compound exercises, not isolation stuff. And eat- alot. You're still growing at 19 so you almost have to force yourself to eat enough if you want to put on mass.

1. form is the most important.. after that it is the most amount of weight you can put up for however many reps you are on for your routine.
2. that definitely counts as cardio. if you do it a lot, it can hurt your chances of gaining weight, but don't worry you will gain muscle and just try to eat THAT much more. you are right; you can't stop all of them, and you have to live your life so just lift and eat, then do the other cardio activities- you'll be fine.
3. i don't know too much about that, but i think that's fine. just don't overdo it

Am I the only one who noticed the only exercises he mensioned are chins pec decs and wrist curls?

Whats your routine look like maybe we could give you help on the whole thing rather than just reps and cardio?

hehe. i just started lol. I am currently being introduced to the machines, i begin everyday with warmups, then i am asked to cycle and run on tread mill, and some other cardio stuff, hiptwist, crunches etc for 30 minutes. Then i was shown the chin, machine for thighs (forgot), and some other stuff. Next day they put me to pec deck, chest press (i think) and some other stuff. Then free weights( currently i am on 3 kgs lol), wrist curls etc. The trainer said i will be introduced to most of the machines and stuff on the first 2 weeks. Then i'll be given a routine + diet. I'll post them the moment i get it lol. Thanks for all the help. Peace. keep helpin

When will your coach introduce you to the fun stuff? Like barbell compound exercises? Does he have that on his plans for you? If not, fire him!
