LOL! Come on Chef. Yes, it used to be that, but the C5/C6 is a world class sports car. As usual, you crack me up though. Yeah the seventies Corvette, Crager wheels, open shirt with gold chains. LOL!ChefWide said:guido mobile.
It’s not the same as the old iron block 350. They both are pushrod V8’s, but that about the only similarity. It even has a different firing order. The LS1 and LS6 are aluminum block 348ci. Still, I know what you are saying, but you have to consider that they’re getting that 400hp while avoiding the gas guzzler tax. That’s 400hp with 19 mpg. city and 28 mpg. highway. That’s an amazing engineering accomplishment!Jimsbbc said:400 hp from a Chevy 350 isn't very much. It should be making at least 500 naturally aspirated.

agree, but I cant afford a vetteLift Chief said:Corvettes always seemed to me like a sportscar for people who couldn't afford a real, european sportscar.
You ain’t shittin’, bro. The LS1/6’s low end torque is monstrous. I like cruising along at around 2100-2300 rpms. At that rpm range when you mash the pedal it becomes frenetically violent. Freaks out passengers who have never ridden in a car with such enormous low end torque.RADAR said:Agreed!! My zo6 purrs like an electric motor at idle/ but it turns into a 420 hp raging beast at open throttle!!!!
