2 personal bests today!

I think I need to work out earlier. I did that today and knocked out two personal bests. My bench sucks so I'm not saying what that was but I did a few with 280 on the lat pulldown. Thats good for lil ole me.

Finally got some HCG so I may fire up a cycle next month. :)

Hey, put this over on the training board where it will be appreciated! :)

I've tried to chill over there and could not get into it. I really have no interest in complicated training procedures. I'd hang there if I was a newbie, a trainer, or really, really into that extra 2%.:)

yeah well i tried to express how much i like the new chilli peppers cd, and it got moved to the music board. who would want to post there?

Congratulations!!

The other day at physical therapy I curled 10 pounds for 4 sets of 20.

Rehab sucks!!!!!:bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

You have to have the first 2% before you get the final 98%...

280 pulldown:eek2: wtf were you pulling it with:D

That's some serious weight Test

Thanks man....it feels good to have the dudes at the gym show some damned respect. The black dudes next to me ski daddled in the middle of their lame ass sets.

I wish my bench was better....I'm making progress with the new routine though.:)

Uh huh. There are tons of information that is going on in the Training board... even the VETS are learning something new that helps their workouts everyday...

The training board isn't for newbies, or for Ph.D's (although we have one) who are detail-oriented about every aspect of fitness... it's for people who want to maximize their training...

Not wasteing their time maxing out on lat pulldowns... a pully machine. ;)

I've heard 10,000 theories, I figure that is enough. I don't use one machine with a pulley on it except for knee extensions.

the leg extension is bad for your knees, especially if you go heavy. one wrong twist and bye bye ligaments

Thats another theory for you. Any time I have knee problems, I do leg extensions and it fixes my knees. I use 290 on the leg extension on the final set.

Lat Pulldown uses a pully...

leg extensions are not bad for the knees as long as you do not epand the natural range of motion and use excessive weight.

How would one expand the natural range of motion? The knee can go from about 10 degrees to 180 degrees. I suppose one could hyper extend if they were careless.

280 is some poundage. Congrats on the lift and your procurement of the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin.

Thanks...I'm sure I can do much better though if I don't get reinjured. Last time I was throwing 270 pretty good, I strained a lat attachment point on my ribs. Set me back several months. I watch the form a lot more closely now.

Not the one I use. I stack 45s and stuff on it.

How is it not a pulley system??? You could use rocks or baskets of underwear for weight...but you will need a pulley system to do these still...from what I can imagine.

Either way...congrats on the PR...any reason you weren't doing chins/pull ups?

Yea....I don't like pull ups for several reasons. I only weigh 230 for one thing and I like to ramp up my weights to keep things interesting. Got bored with pull ups in high school. Don't need a gym for that. I use the stirrups in a saddle when I want to do pull ups.

It may very well be a pulley system, I don't know the semantics and it doesn't matter.
