Hey bro I get you wanting to add weight so you can run with some of the big boys. When I was high school, I weighed 225lbs and was a def. lineman. Most guys in my division were around 275 and solid farm boys. I was quicker but it was tough. This is what I did to get up to 240lbs.
I drank around 2-3 protein shakes a day (Optimum Protein)
I found a good weight gainer, and drank a shake for Breakfeast and Dinner.
I did not do cardio as in endurance. I did lots of sprints, I pushed a huge truck down the road, ran up sand hills, ran lots of stairs, that kind of stuff.
Eat good food, lots of chicken and turkey and rice, etc.
There is a lot of info on here about diets for bulking.
