New member
I am a first timer, used to be a natural body builder. I have let myself slip too far in my opinion to go natural again. I am 6' 260lb 35%fat. I am looking for advice on keeping the muscle I do have, as well as losing the fat I so greatly want to lose.

I am already on a lifting routine. Thanks for the advice. Since my main concern is fat loss it didn't seem important to mention.

your 35% bf

bro come on hat are you expecting from some magical steroids. unless you are some competive powerlifter or a up and coming lnfl lineman you do not need any drugs whatso ever.

none all you need is a dietician to get you a quality weight loss diet, will power and dedication to stick to this diet and then a lot of cv. at 35% bf you body is crying to loose the fat you will not loose muscle.

So weight lifting has nothing to do with fat loss? Riiiight...

For fat loss you need a good diet and a good weight lifting program. Cardio is important, but not everybody needs it. You'll never keep your muscle on a diet without a good weight routine.

My advice is the same as the other bro's. You need a solid diet plan, dedication to stick to it, cardio on an empty stomach, a good weight training program and plenty of rest.
Just MHO

I would start off with a good DIET and CARDIO, of course at least 3x/wk training. Have you researched the CKD? I have a good article written about it.

Cyclical Ketogenic Diet

Simply put its a diet that cycles the amount of carbs/fats/protiens. Just like with physical training the body adapts and when it does results diminish. The way you eat can also keep the body guessing and results in better results.

A good version of this type of diet can be found in the book Sliced-by Negrita Jade. Basically it's 3 days of moderate carbs followed by 3 days of low carbs. Over the 3 low carb days you'll lose around 6-10 lbs(depending on bodyweight) after 3 days of moderate carbs you gain back 4-8 lbs-yielding about 2lbs of fat loss every 6 days.

Man, as a former body builder you should know just how important diet is. At 35% bodyfat, you have a long way to go naturally by not being a pussy and tuning your diet in.

You say you've let yourself slip too far? You think doing a cycle is going to be some magic cure? Im sorry bro... but I do have good news. With that high a bodyfat %, you're going to make progress very quickly. Its not like when your trying to cut down for a competition and make it from 7% down to 4%...

You have a ton of room for improvement and you can make rapid gains just by getting back into the swing of things with the right diet and cardio regimine.

Im not trying to bash you bro, but buck up and get your will power back. :coffee:

Yeah. You should easily be able to get to 15% with a good diet, and maybe some clen or ephedrine to get from 20% to 15%.

It seems to me like i should be doing light-high rep workouts during the week for the established cardio effect. When I am working out on the weekend during my carb overload i should be doing more of a powerlift for gains or if i want to keep burning fat during the weekend i should continue with the depletion cycle.

Is this the correct interpretation of the CKD diet? If it isn't could someone please help me gain a better understanding?

Thanks

Should I be taking clen or ephidrine now or should I wait until i am around 20-22%?
IMO u should wait. because your bf is at a high %, it will be easy for you to lose alot of it and see changes fast. this means u dont need clen or eph for now. you can go down to 20%bf by yourself with a good diet and some dedication. stick to it bro, ull get lean in no time.

The way you lift and your diet are seperate things. More muscle mass means your body burns more calories just existing so I wouldnt short change a workout, or chance to add mass and turn it into a cardio session. Doing actual cardio gives you better control over your heart rate anyway. This of course assumes you are looking to add some mass, if your not looking for some mass then I guess it doesnt really matter, but most people in this forum have the goal of adding mass.

I would cut Carbs to Slimm or none..Cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, And again at night in your case..Get some Winstrol un that at 50mg ED and T-3 and clen..Now that would be the cycle I'd run if I was looking to burn a large amount of fat.
