i graduated high school in 1984. started college the year before that in 1983. got my BA in Fine Arts in 1988 and STILL could not drink legally.

Gee, I wonder how much better my life would be if I'd actually completed that MA in Anthropology? I could be teaching Physical Anthropology 203 at some Junior College somewhere, with a tweed jacket with patches on the elbows, smoking a pipe, stroking my beard.

There was some music I liked in the '80s -- REM, Husker Du, The Replacements, Hoodoo Gurus, Midnight Oil, XTC; but the shit on the radio and MTV was the worst -- pop metal crap like Van Halen and Bon Jovi, hair metal tripe, synth pop, Madonna...
