1800cals too low for cutting?

Id like to see you add 40-50more grams of protien to that diet. Personally I eat about 350 grams/day while cutting. I also eat 80 carbs, 40 preWO, and 40postWO.

thats a debate thatll never be resolved.
some believe 1g per pound of bodyweight is plenty while others wont even dare consume less than 2g per pound of bodyweight.

not enough research on the subject...

but to prevent catabolism, it only makes sense to consume extra protein while cutting.

While I will admit it is highly debatable and there are too many factors to reach a positive conclusion, I feel consuming more protein and less carbs is important for this reason.

Even if the additional protien is simply additional calories(which it may or may not be), they are very low GI calories. A value of about 30 is typical. Oats, brown rice and yams all have values higher than 90% of protien sources. They typically sit in the 50-70 range. Also eating low GI protein sources lowers the GI of carbs.

And as we all know insulin can be the devil while dieting. So, to me thats why I eat that much protein.

Many will disagree and many will agree. My 2 cents.

I think 1 to 1.25 is logical, if its disperesed over 6 meals. 1.5 to 2 is a little insane, I tried that once and seem to piss all day. Stress on the liver/kidneys.. But ill say this, eating that much protein seemed to stimulate my metabolism as i was hungry all the time.

you arent takin into consideration that there's an organ very critical for proper human functioning callled the kidneys.
