$175 for doc visit and no help...WTF!!

Hey all!! I got back from the dermatologists office yesterday. Wow, they're no help. Tried asking them about Avodart and they thought I was crazy. They've never heard of it!! Plus I tried to get Accutane and they gave me the big N-O!! I mean I paid $175 for 2 doctors visits, having no insurance, with legit health problems and they cant help me with the Accutane or Avodart. I mean, I'm starting to lose my hair pretty bad and the acne I've been putting up with for years is starting to scar my face. Tried using Differin, Clindamycin, Minocycline, Retin-A with no results. For the hair I've tried Saw Palmetto, Propecia and Rogaine. WTF!!!! I'm pissed. Anyone know where or how I can get ahold of Accutane and Avodart. My own doctor cant even help. I'm confused

Man that burns my ass when I see doctors take money and not do a thing. They even take your money and insult you with a look like you're crazy. American medicine, in a "well care" type of setting, is a scam. I believe our emergency care is good, but aside from that, it's useless.

Hey bro... tell us WHY they refused to give you the meds. That would clear up things. They are required to tell you why they put you on something or why they will not put you on something.

Maybe you have a health history that accutane will be incompatible with.

Welcome to the world of the U.S. Sickness Industry where keeping you unhealthy makes more money for them. It's been decades since I've been to a doctor as a patient and gotten something useful out of the trip. From talking to dermatologists I've done work for (I write software used by doctor's offices), they like to have a patient visit several times before they'll consider putting them on Accutane. I always ask since I've got several relatives that haven't been successful at obtaining a prescription for it or anything else that has helped them. The doctors alway suggest seeing the same doctor five or six times over a couple of years before giving up. Of course, the doctors (around here, your post gave much smaller numbers than I've ever seen a dermatologist charge) make $200+ for each visit, so that means you waste two years of your life waiting on them and waste over $1,000. Remember, the longer they drag this out, the more money they make.

Exactly man!!!! WTF!!!! They keep on putting off perscribing Accutane. Making me try this that and the other thing, which never work. Alls they see is $$ signs.I mean, I'm getting like poc marks on my face now, it's rediculous, and this bitch is standing there with perfect skin telling me I don't need it. I'd like to see what would happen if she was in my shoes for the six years I've been putting up with acne. It sucks man. With all these visits and buying shit thats not gonna work, I could have gotten Accutane awhile ago and had some decent looking skin with some self confidence as well.

I'm gonna try and find a site that has the gel capsule(pill) form of accutane and avodart all night tonight since my own friggen dermatologist is of no use but to drain my pockets and order it or see if I can get a prescription online. Who knows. Hopefully I find an authentic site. Ohhhh and AAP, the reason she, the dermatologist wouldn't prescribe the Accutane was because she said Accutane wouldn't help what I have.
