Hi there! I am new to this board, but I have browsed the posts for quite some time now. I think this is one of the most comprehensive weight lifting sites on the net, and the people truly know what they are talking about. I am 16years old, and I have been working out for about 1 year now. I just have a question regarding my chest: the line the seperates the two pecs is suppose to go all the way from the collar bone to the bottom of the pec right? Well the line for me comes from the bottom of the chest and stops alittle more than half way up. It is there, just not very visible. How do I get the line to be more prominent, like the pros? Also, How many excersises for muscle is too much, and since I train triceps with chest, would it be allright to use dips as a tricep excersise and a bottom and outer chest excersise at once? Thank you. If any one can answer my question, it would be you guys.

hey man , I would definately check out that 5x5 sticky if i were you

don't forget the most important exercise for your chest...and everything else to grow:

putting that fork to your mouth

It's tough to answer multiple questions.

Your "line" will improve when you add mass to your chest.

There is a vast difference in oppinions in the number of sets/rep range you should do to maximize gains. (And unfortunately, people with very poor results are often the most adamant about their advice.)

Dips for chest and dips for triceps are VERY different exercises. You can't hit both chest and triceps fully by merging the form.

Read the 5 x 5 sticky. It is a great basic program.

Hello! Glad to have you here. You'll find yourself addicted to this place if you're not already.

I'll throw another vote toward 5x5 program for you.
Excellent results and good for people at just about any level.
At the top of the training board click the "Training" sticky at the top, then click the 5x5 program. (a.k.a. Needsize's 5x5)

Read that and it will answer most, if not all your questions here.
If anything is missed, just post up your next question, someone here will be glad to help.

Thanks guys for all the responses. It was amazing how quickly you replied (about 2 hrs after this was posted I got the first feedback). I will most definately try the 5x5 routine. I just have one more thing to ask; since I work triceps with chest, how many tricep excersises are too much? Thank you again, you guys rule!

routine aside, the "line" will come as overall mass develops. Work the basics, add weight, eat big and rest. repeat. :)
