12 week bulking cycle?

Is it pointless to bulk for 12 weeks even on cycle? I never saw a point of bulking for less than 8 months but now that gear is in the picture it might be a little different. I would aim to put on around 30lbs of fat, then after my 12 weeks i would tweak my diet to hold around 10lbs of excess weight until it's time to cut. I don't hold fat well with my body type and don't want to commit to the chubby face but it was undoubtably easier to train last time i bulked and i moved a lot more weight. I would be running test cyp at 500mg a week and eq at 400mg a week

its pointless running eq for 12 weeks. and why would you aim to gain 30lbs of fat? the idea of a bulk is to gain lean tissue not fat and water.... a 16 week test eq cycle would be much better, bulking should be about a 1:1 ration of muscle to fat for most people (esp. on gear) for every 2lbs you put on you should aim for 1lbs of lean keepable muscle tissue.
 
I am an ectomorph and store all my fat in my torso unless i have 25+lbs of excess weight. It's effortless to drop it either so i'm not concerned with having a lot of weight to lose when cutting. The idea of MY bulk is to get thick because it I'll be able to move that much more weight

are you a powerlifter?
bottom line is the leaner you are the more slin sensitive you are and therefore the better you can use excess calories. secondly cycling at high bodyfats just adds in other unnecessary health risks. you are abusing steroids and thrashing your body, the least you can do is keep yourself in half decent shape... 12-15% is about where MOST should be during offseason in my opinion. defiantly no higher than 17%

I agree with bighorse, The lower your bodyfat is the better EQ works also you need to run it long enough so that it really shines , So 16-20weeks is the length i would run EQ, also you need 2 grams of protein for every pound of bodyweight, so clean up your diet a bit, adding fat is a good way to hide the effects of EQ.
