Some guy at a gym I go to was telling me he does 1000 crunches every night. Also - like 300 pushups or something around that.
I know for abs diet diet diet... And here I'm just doing 3 sets of 15 reps hanging leg raises for abs.. Should i step it up or what? !!!

That is not necessary bro.

you might want to bump it up a little but not go absolutly loopy with it.

I am a firm believer in using weight resistance .. just like every other muscle the more you train the more weight you can do and the larger/stronger the muscle gets. I have been using a routine a frined of mine does from MMA and i must say WOOOOOOOOW .. I go really intense but only do around 75-85 reps for abs and obliques

I cannot imagine doing anything much more boring or useless.

Counter progressive. Extremely counter progressive. If he is consuming any sort of calorie surplus, then his abs are getting less visible daily.

Sounds like fuzzy numbers to me. I do the leg raises also and I have had a 6 pack for years. I also do crunches and push ups everyday though, but not nearly as many as that guy claims to do. Not necessary.

That is not necessary at all. Unless you want to do like a marathon for abs. Do abs on an incline while holding plates above your head for 15 reps 3 times two days a week and you could blow that guy out of the water if he bet you on it. After the first 100 - 200 you don't feel anything and you could go on forever or up until your back and neck starts hurting like hell provided your cardio is up to speed.

did it for more than 3 years....1000 situps a day...then i discovered that you don't have to do THAT much to get ripped...there are BETTER and more EFFICIENT exercises for abs ;)
